I’ve never yet met a crafter who didn’t love getting free products. I think that’s why Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-A-Bration promotions are so popular. Twice a year we get the chance to choose some exclusive products simply for placing an order we were probably going to send in anyway. Something I always look forward to seeing is the free paper choices. This time, despite not being excited by the coordinating stamp set and dies in the Mini Catalogue, I couldn’t resist selecting the Rings of Love paper pack. I wasn’t disappointed.

FOLDED GIFT TAG
I began this tag by cutting a 3″ x 6″ piece of Evening Evergreen Card. Then with the long side at the top I scored it at 3″. After folding the card along the scored line I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
To turn this mini card into a gift tag I opened it up and placed it under the slot option of the Very Best Trio Punch. Next I slid the card over a little so the crease was just to the right of the guide on the punch. Then when I punched down I was left with a small slot in the back close to the crease at the top.
With the tag base being very dark I needed to add something to the inside to write on. For this I cut a 2-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Parakeet Party Card. Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I fixed the piece inside the tag.
Finally I cut 6″ of white twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack. I threaded this through the hole in the tag and tied it in a simple knot. All I had to do now was decorate the front.
RINGS OF LOVE PAPER
One of my favourite designs in the Rings of Love 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack is the sheet covered in little watercoloured houses. I even found one that looks very similar to my own house and couldn’t resist using it on this project. Using my Paper Trimmer I was able to cut around this house without touching any of the others and ended up with a piece of paper 2-1/4″ x 2-3/4″.

Going back to the Parakeet Party Card I cut another piece 2-3/8″ x 2-7/8″. Then I used liquid glue to mount the DSP on top before adding it to the front of the tag.
Finally I chose the “With much love” sentiment from the Through It Together Stamp Set. Using Evening Evergreen ink I stamped it onto a 3/8″ x 1-3/4″ strip of Thick Basic White Card. Then I cut a V shape in the end with my Paper Snips. Once I’d added the sentiment to the tag with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals my project was complete.
So quick and easy, it’s the perfect simple Sunday project. Now I think I want to cut out some more of these little houses to make some very personal thank you cards.
