For today’s sneak peek I’ve gone back to the new Stampin’ Up! June to January Mini Catalogue. For this project I wanted to show you the Perfectly Framed Stamp Set. Of course it also gave me a chance to play with the coordinating Ornate Frames Dies which are being carried over from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.

GIFT CARD HOLDER
I began by making my gift card holder from a 3″ x 7″ piece of Merry Merlot Card. This is a style of gift card holder I designed that could be created without the use of a special die or Envelope Punch Board.
If you’re not familiar with this gift card holder check out the video I made a while back.
FLORAL BACKGROUND
Once I’d cut and scored the card for the gift card holder I stamped the front to give it a subtle design. For this I chose the multi-leaf and twin flower images from the Perfectly Framed Stamp Set.
First I wiped the card with an Embossing Buddy to remove any oils and static. Then I stamped the images in a random design using VersaMark ink. I sprinkled the sticky ink with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and tapped off the excess. Finally, once I’d removed a few stray specks, I melted the rest of the powder using my Heat Tool set on 2 (high).
With the embossing complete I then assembled the Gift Card Holder using Tear & Tape Adhesive. Then to make removing the gift card easier I punched a notch at the open end with a 1/2″ Circle Punch.
ORNATE DECORATION
All I had left to do was create the sentiment for the front of the gift card holder.
So I went back to the Perfectly Framed Stamp Set and chose “The world is yours”. Using Merry Merlot ink I stamped it onto some Shimmery White Card. Then I cut it out using the coordinating die from the Ornate Frames Dies.

While I was at my die-cutting machine I also cut out some Seaside Spray Card using the very ornate squarish die from the same set. Then with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I fixed the sentiment onto the ornate piece.
At this point I decided that I needed something ‘extra’ between the sentiment and the background. So I wrapped some Seaside Spray 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon around the gift card holder. Using Tear & Tape Adhesive I first secured the cut ends to the embossed side of the holder so that they would be hidden on the finished project. Then I threaded a smaller piece of ribbon behind the wrapped piece on the front and folded it over, once again using Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold it in place.
Finally I added my layered sentiment over the ribbon with some Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and I was finished.
PERFECTLY FRAMED
I really like the Perfectly Framed Stamp Set as it has a nice combination of sentiments and small decorative images. What I also like is that the “To” and “From” are on separate stamps, so no trying to squeeze the names in. Of course the fact that Perfectly Framed coordinates with the Ornate Frames Dies doesn’t hurt either.
So while we have a few more days to wait until January 3rd when this set is available for customers to buy, here’s a closer look at the stamp set.
