Today I have another sneak peek from the new Sale-A-Bration Brochure. Well it’s more like part two of a previous sneak peek. One of the free items you can choose with a $120 order is the Power of Hope Bundle. This bundle consists of the Power of Hope Stamp Set and the Stone 3D Embossing Folder. I gave you a sneak peek of the stamp set a few days ago, so today I’m focusing on the embossing folder…
For my sentiment I went to the Wonderful Moments Stamp Set. At first glance this might seem to be just for the ladies, but many of the sentiments work for masculine cards too.
First I stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White Card using Tuxedo Black ink. Then I punched it out using the Everyday Label Punch.
Next, using liquid glue I attached a 1/8″ strip of Mango Melody Card along the top and bottom edges of the punched piece. Then I placed it back into the Everyday Label Punch and punched again. This shaped the ends of the strips to match the sentiment.
For my card base I used my Paper Trimmer to cut and score some Thick Whisper White Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. With that done I turned my attention to the embossed layer.
The Stone 3D Embossing Folder is lovely but sometimes it’s hard to see how lovely in a photo. So I decided to film the next part of my project.
Amazing, what you can do with this great embossing folder with the addition of Smoky Slate Card, Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate ink and a piece of sponge.
So, with the background done I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to fix it to a layer of Melon Mango Card. Then I attached thee assembled layers to the front of the card base.
Next I glued a strip of Smoky Slate Card across the background layer before adding the completed sentiment with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
That just left the inside of the card and the envelope, and for that I went back to the Stone 3D Embossing Folder.
First I placed the top 1″ of a layer of Whisper White Card inside the embossing folder and embossed it. Then I fixed this piece inside the card base with liquid glue.
Finally I placed the flap of a Whisper White Medium Envelope in the embossing folder and embossed that. My project was complete.
The Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion will run from January 3rd until March 31st. For every $60 of product ordered during that period you can choose a Level 1 product from the brochure. There are also some higher value items added to your choices if your order reaches $120 (before shipping and taxes). There are no limits on how many free items you can earn, or how many orders you place.
The Power of Hope / Stone 3D Embossing Folder is one of these Level 2 items that you can choose for free with a $120 order. You can see the stamp set in my earlier blog post The power of sneak peeks.
If you’ve placed an order with me over the past year I’ve sent you a Sale-A-Bration Brochure (and the new January to June Mini Catalogue) with my compliments. If you live in Canada and don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I’d be happy to send you a copy of the brochure and catalogue too. Just contact me to request one. Alternatively I’ll be able to post PDF versions of both publications here on my website when they go live to customers one week from today.
Now I’m off to explore some more new products. I hope you’ll join me again tomorrow for another sneak peek from the new Mini Catalogue.
