One card theme I don’t visit a great deal is babies, and even less frequently, pregnancy. I found that I didn’t have sentiments that I liked, so I was excited to see the One Happy Family Stamp Set in the 2021/22 Annual Catalogue. “You made a little human!” is probably one of my favourite sentiments, but “the happiest reason for feeling rotten” also caught my eye. So when I was working through my recent 24 cards in 24 hours marathon I was determined to use the One Happy Family Stamp Set. This card was the result and all it took was 10 minutes.

NATURE’S BEAUTY
I began by using my Paper Trimmer to cut and score some Thick Basic White Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create my card base.
For my background I used a Blending Brush to cover the front of the card base with a layer of Balmy Blue ink.
Next I cut a 2″ x 5-1/2″ strip of Thick Basic White Card. Over towards the left I used Crumb Cake ink to stamp the rabbit from the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set. Then with Paper Snips I cut gentle curves along the top edge of the strip and around the top of the rabbit. With that done I used a Blending Brush to colour the ‘ground’ with Old Olive ink.
By this point I’d decided to make the rabbit the coordinating feature of the project. So I stamped it in the bottom left corner on the front of a Basic White Medium Envelope. Then I did the same thing on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Card.
Finally, along the bottom edges of the envelope and card I added Old Olive ink with the Blending Brush.
With these pieces done I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to fix the Basic White layer inside the card base. All that was left was the sentiments.
PREGNANCY +
From the One Happy Family Stamp Set I chose two sentiments. “Pregnancy” came first, stamped using Tuxedo Black ink onto the front of my card base towards the top left corner.

Next I needed the second part of the sentiment, “the happiest reason for feeling rotten!”. Using Tuxedo Black ink once again, I stamped it onto the ‘ground’ on the fussy-cut strip.
Finally, using Stampin’ Dimensionals I attached the strip to the bottom edge of the card base and my project was complete.
This was such a quick card to make and the design can easily be turned into a card for any occasion. Simply change the sentiment for any other you have.
