One of my favourite things as a crafter is experimenting with the products I buy. I don’t have an unlimited budget so it’s important for me to get maximum value from every item. When I’m choosing what to spend my money on I’ll see how many different ways I can think of to use them. But even after doing this I’m sometimes surprised. That’s what happened with the Something Fancy Dies. I initially bought them for layering my sentiments which they do nicely, but then I discovered something ... VIEW POST
Peekaboo Family
My regular readers will know I’m a complete sucker for cute animal and people images. Somehow the Stampin’ Up! artists always seem to put great expressions on the faces which always makes me smile. That’s why I fell in love with the Peekaboo Farm Stamp Set. These kind of images work well with almost any sentiment and I’ve had lots of fun finding new combinations. One of my favourite sentiments to use with animal images is “You made a little human!” as shown in this sweet and simple baby ... VIEW POST
Family Time
Family time is really important to me, even more so as we don’t get the chance to spend as much time together as I’d like. So that makes our video chats and phone calls all the more precious. It’s great to hear all the exciting news and find out what’s been going on in their lives. Just recently I’ve been collecting photos so that I can do a little scrapbooking. But first I needed to create a baby card and I automatically reached for the One Happy Family Stamp Set. NOT MY ... VIEW POST
What A Cracker
Here we are in June and the products being retired from the January to June Mini Catalogue are now only available while stocks last. Of all these products I think the ones I’ll miss in particular are the Designer Series Paper (DSP) packs. It seems only right therefore that I make the most of them while I still can. I decided to start with the Symbols of Fortune 12” x 12” DSP. However alongside the retiring paper, I also wanted to try out my new Cracker & Treat Box Dies. SIMPLE CRACKER ... VIEW POST
Paper Scraps And Simple Sentiments
There’s just three more days to go until we find out which products are being retired by Stampin’ Up! Every year they retire most, if not all, their patterned paper to make way for new designs. So my plan today is to review all the Designer Series Paper (DSP) I still have left. My regular readers will know that I hate to throw away even the smallest pieces and I’m definitely not alone. With that in mind this week’s simple Sunday project was designed around a 1” x 4-1/4” scrap. SIMPLY ... VIEW POST
Family Pride With Kisses & Hugs
Just a couple of days ago I received the latest Paper Pumpkin kit called Kisses & Hugs. It contained enough supplies to make 10 heart-shaped tri-fold cards, along with an exclusive stamp set and Gray Granite ink spot. As usual I made one of each design and then decided to bring in the One Happy Family Stamp Set. In no time at all I was able to create lots more alternate projects celebrating my amazing family. Here's just one example adding in some coordinating card and an envelope from ... VIEW POST
