I’ve been up for hours and sadly sunrise was a non-event. It’s ‘daylight’ now but a bit damp and quite foggy which I wasn’t expecting. Still, hubby reliably informs me that the weather will improve so I can get some washing on the line. In the meantime I thought I’d generate positive thoughts with this week’s simple Sunday project.

POSITIVE THOUGHTS
Today’s project started with a vague idea to create a simple monochrome card. My initial idea was to use the Beautiful Moments Stamp Set but instead I found Seaside View.
Using Soft Suede ink I first stamped the single chair image onto a layer of Very Vanilla Card. Then I added the “Sending positive thoughts and feel-good wishes” sentiment from the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set.
With that done I stamped the chair in the bottom right-hand corner on another layer of Very Vanilla Card. Then I finished by stamping the image on the front of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope to match.
SIMPLE LAYERS
Now the stamping was complete I was ready to start putting together my card.
I began by using my Paper Trimmer to cut and score a piece of Crumb Cake Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. After that I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to fix the image only Very Vanilla layer inside the card base.

For the front of the card I first cut a piece of Very Vanilla 3/8″ Scalloped Lace Trim. Then with Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the remaining Very Vanilla layer I attached the lace down the left side.
Next, to add some contrast I glued a 3/16″ strip of Soft Suede Card to the left edge of the Very Vanilla layer. Then I finished off by mounting the assembled piece onto the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Quick and easy, with a little touch of lace for interest. Just the thing for a simple Sunday craft session.

This card is beautiful. I’ll be casing it for sure. Thank you for sharing.
I wish you sunny skies and a little breeze to help dry those clothes on your line.
Thank you Cathy
