Whenever I make a gift tag or bookmark I find myself looking for a punch or die to create a hole or slot at the top. But then I wondered whether that was strictly necessary. For a tag especially you need a way to attach it to a gift, but was there another option? For today’s simple Sunday project I decided to show you that there is. So using the new Eden’s Garden Stamp Set I set to work.

EDEN’S GARDEN
For my tag I began with a 2″ x 3-1/4″ piece of Soft Sea Foam Card. Then from the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set I chose two of the smaller leafy images.
Using Soft Sea Foam ink I stamped one of the images in the top right and bottom left corners. Then using Evening Evergreen ink I stamped the second image beside and slightly overlapping the first ones.
For my sentiment I went back to the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set and chose “Sending hugs”. After stamping it close to the lower leafy images I was ready to assemble my tag.
For this I first needed to cut a 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Very Vanilla Card. Next, I put Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) over the back of the stamped Soft Sea Foam piece. Then I cut a 6″ piece of Very Vanilla twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, and folded it in half. I pressed the centre of the twine onto the back of the Soft Sea Foam piece, and added a little extra glue on top. With that done I mounted the Soft Sea Foam piece onto the Very Vanilla layer, pressing firmly to sandwich the twine between the two.

Finally I added three self-adhesive Mint Macaron embellishments from the Genial Gems pack, and my super simple tag was complete.
This is probably the easiest gift tag I’ve ever created. I was a little worried about just sandwiching the twine between the two pieces of card, but I needn’t have been. After all, it’s not like the tag has to support anything. The twine simply has to stay in place so it can be tied to a gift, and it does. I have a feeling I’ll be making more of these in the future.
If you missed it, you’ll find my first project using the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set in my blog post It’s time to enter Eden’s Garden.
So that’s all from me for this Sunday. Whatever you have planned, I hope you’re able to find a little time for yourself.
