It’s March 1st and that means the last month of the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion. This is where you can get exclusive products for free, simply for placing a qualifying order. Most of the free items are ‘level 1’ which means you can get one of these for every $60 CAD spent before shipping and taxes. There are also a few higher value ‘level 2′ items that can be chosen with $120 of purchases (before shipping and taxes). While this is great, Stampin’ Up! is aware of customer wishes.
I wish there were more products to choose from. I wish I could just cut the images with dies. I wish some of the catalogue products were included in the free choices. Well if you’ve ever made any of these wishes, today is your lucky day!
But before I give you all today’s Sale-A-Bration news, let’s quickly go through today’s project.

HELLO CUPCAKE
I started with a layer of Whisper White Card and the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Hello Cupcake. Using Highland Heather ink I stamped the cupcake liner, then I added the sponge with Blushing Bride. Next I added the frosting with Pineapple Punch ink. Finally I stamped the sweet wishes sentiment using Mint Macaron ink.
I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to attach the stamped layer to a piece of Pineapple Punch Card. Then I wrapped some Whisper White 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle around the layer and secured it on the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive. I finished off the layer by tying a small bow around the Tulle ribbon with Whisper White Baker’s Twine.
CARD BASE
Using my Stampin’ Trimmer I cut and scored a piece of Thick Whisper White Card. I folded the card along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to crease my card base. Then I attached my assembled layers to the front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On another layer of Whisper White Card I stamped the cupcake pieces again in the bottom right corner. This time though after inking up each of the images, I stamped off onto some scrap paper before stamping onto the card. This gave me a lighter image that could be written over if needed. Once completed I added this piece to the inside of the card with liquid glue.
Finally I stamped the cupcake pieces one last time onto the front of a Whisper White Medium Envelope. I was done in no time at all.
I love how this project turned out. The colours give a really fresh springlike feel don’t you think?
