It’s March 1st and that means the last month of the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion. This is where you can get exclusive products for free, simply for placing a qualifying order. Most of the free items are ‘level 1’ which means you can get one of these for every $60 CAD spent before shipping and taxes. There are also a few higher value ‘level 2′ items that can be chosen with $120 of purchases (before shipping and taxes). While this is great, Stampin’ Up! is aware of customer wishes.
I wish there were more products to choose from. I wish I could just cut the images with dies. I wish some of the catalogue products were included in the free choices. Well if you’ve ever made any of these wishes, today is your lucky day!
But before I give you all today’s Sale-A-Bration news, let’s quickly go through today’s project.
I started with a layer of Whisper White Card and the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Hello Cupcake. Using Highland Heather ink I stamped the cupcake liner, then I added the sponge with Blushing Bride. Next I added the frosting with Pineapple Punch ink. Finally I stamped the sweet wishes sentiment using Mint Macaron ink.
I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to attach the stamped layer to a piece of Pineapple Punch Card. Then I wrapped some Whisper White 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle around the layer and secured it on the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive. I finished off the layer by tying a small bow around the Tulle ribbon with Whisper White Baker’s Twine.
Using my Stampin’ Trimmer I cut and scored a piece of Thick Whisper White Card. I folded the card along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to crease my card base. Then I attached my assembled layers to the front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On another layer of Whisper White Card I stamped the cupcake pieces again in the bottom right corner. This time though after inking up each of the images, I stamped off onto some scrap paper before stamping onto the card. This gave me a lighter image that could be written over if needed. Once completed I added this piece to the inside of the card with liquid glue.
Finally I stamped the cupcake pieces one last time onto the front of a Whisper White Medium Envelope. I was done in no time at all.
I love how this project turned out. The colours give a really fresh springlike feel don’t you think?
BACK TO THOSE WISHES
Wish number one – more free products to choose from. Today there are 8 more level 1 products to choose from. One of these is the gorgeous Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper (previously only available as part of a Level 2 bundle). You’ll find the code for paper pack in the Sale-A-Bration 3rd Release Flyer.
Wish number two – dies that coordinate with some of the Sale-A-Bration Stamp Sets. If you have, or were thinking of getting Hello Cupcake, Lasting Lily. So Hoppy Together or the new Painted Seasons Bundle, your wish is granted. From today you can buy dies that coordinate with these Sale-A-Bration Stamp Sets. Supplies are limited so order them while you can.
Also available to purchase is a limited edition punch called Story Label, and a companion stamp set called More Than Words. These last two items are specifically designed to add even more versatility to your free Sale-A-Bration items. That said, you don’t have to have a specific stamp set to find these items appealing. Remember these Sale-A-Bration Coordination items are not part of the free offering, but they could help you reach the threshold to get free Sale-A-Bration items.
Wish number 3 – regular catalogue products for free. Stampin’ Up! know how disappointing it is when Sale-A-Bration items run out so they’re making up for it by adding selected products from the Annual Catalogue to your free choices. The Sale-A-Bration 3rd Release Flyer details the extra items that are available free with a qualifying order from today.
Remember free Sale-A-Bration items can only be added to an order once you have reached the qualifying threshold. For this reason you’ll find today’s stamp set, Hello Cupcake, at the end of my product list.
