Last month in my blog post Stained glass, I showed you a bookmark created using some of the amazing Graceful Glass 6″ x 6″ Designer Vellum. On that occasion I coloured the image using Stampin’ Write Markers but I thought it would be useful to do a little comparison.
So for today’s project I have two Graceful Glass Designer Vellum gift cards for you.
Both gift cards started out with a 3″ x 6″ piece of Whisper White Card scored at 3″, folded along the scored line with the crease sharpened using a Bone Folder.
The design on the stand was coloured using a variety of Stampin’ Write Markers on the front of the vellum (the side with the raised black lines). Then using Tear & Tape Adhesive I attached the coloured vellum to the front of the folded gift card.
The second design was also coloured on the front but this time with a selection of Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. As before I attached the coloured vellum to the front of a folded gift card with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Both gift cards were punched in the top left corner using a 1/8″ Circle Handheld Punch with a length of Black 1/8″ Cord threaded through the hole and tied in a simple knot.
With the photos enlarged I can clearly see that the second gift tag has a smother look to the colouring but I have to say it’s not that obvious in real life. Either way I think these gift tags are stunning and I hope you think so too.
Stunning ~ Just GORGEOUS, Tracy! Just from my own experience, I prefer using the alcohol markers. TFS!!
Thank you Geraldine, I love using Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers but right now I have a wider variety of colours in the Stampin’ Write Markers. I can’t wait to get the new Stampin Blends to add to my collection.
