This morning I decided it was time to check the Stampin’ Up! Inventory Supply Report. Demonstrators can view this report for information about stock levels and expected dates for out of stock products to be received. When I looked at the Retiring List section I was shocked at how many retiring stamp sets were already sold out. Many more are showing as ‘low inventory’. One of those stamp sets is Elegantly Said, and I couldn’t resist pairing it with the retiring Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper for one last project.

SIMPLY ELEGANT IMAGES
This project began with the retiring Simply Elegant 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP). From the pack I chose the metallic copper, silver and gold floral design on a dramatic black background. All I needed was one piece, 2-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Then I cut a 2-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Basic Black Card and mounted the DSP onto it using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
For my card base I decided to use Thick Very Vanilla Card. Using my Paper Trimmer I cut and scored the card, then folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. I also cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Very Vanilla Card.
Next I pulled out the retiring Elegantly Said Stamp Set and from it the coordinating floral stamp image. Using VersaMark ink I stamped the flower in the bottom left corner on the Very Vanilla layer. I also stamped it in the front left corner on the front of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. Then I sprinkled both images with copper embossing powder from the Metallics Embossing Powders pack. After tapping off the excess powder I removed a few stray specks, before melting the rest with my Heat Tool set on 2 (high). Then I put these pieces aside while I worked on the sentiment.
CELEBRATING YOU
For my birthday sentiment I grabbed the multi-occasion Celebrating You Stamp Set. Using VersaMark ink I stamped it in the bottom right corner on the front of my Thick Very Vanilla Card base. Then, as before, I heat embossed the sentiment with copper embossing powder. With that done I was ready to assemble the card.

First, using liquid glue I fixed the embossed Very Vanilla layer to the inside of the card. Then using Stampin’ Dimensionals I attached the layered Simply Elegant DSP to the card front and I was done.
This gorgeous card was really quick to put together and even the embossing didn’t take very long. I am definitely going to miss the stunning Simply Elegant DSP.

RETIRING PRODUCTS – Only available while stocks last.
The Simply Elegant Stamp Set is now showing “low inventory”. I bought the Elegantly Said Stamp Set in a bundle with the Elegant Tag Punch using the single ‘bundle’ item number. This meant I saved 10% off the cost of buying the same two items separately. I’ve included a link to the bundle in case you want to explore that option. The bundle is also retiring and showing as ‘low inventory’.
