Do you ever find yourself drawn to an image but then struggle to actually use it on a project? It’s happened to me more than once. I had a horrible feeling that was going to be my fate with the Elegantly Said Stamp Set. So rather than stress, I just left the stamp set on my desk where I could see see it. After a few days working on other things ideas started to pop into my head. Maybe they won’t all work out, but it’s certainly not the creative block I was dreading. So here’s my first project using that large image; crisp and clean and oh so easy to do. Perfect for a simple Sunday.

ELEGANTLY DESIGNED
As it turned out the ‘problem’ with this very large image also became the solution. I began by cutting a 3-1/8″ x 4-3/8″ piece of Basic White Card. Then with Gorgeous Grape ink I stamped the large image in the centre near the top. I turned the card around and then stamped a second image, nesting them together, almost touching.
Next I stamped the image across the bottom right corner of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White Card. Finally I stamped it across the bottom right corner on the front of a Basic White Medium Envelope.
I love the detail in the image but wanted to highlight it just a bit. So from the Brights Stampin’ Write Markers collection I took the Mango Melody marker. Then I coloured in the same dotted sections on each image.
TRUE LOVE STORIES
Now I just needed to assemble my card. I began by using my Paper Trimmer to cut and score some Thick Basic White Card. After folding it along the scored line I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create my card base. Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I fixed the decorated 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer on the inside.

Next I needed the decorated panel. Using liquid glue again I mounted it onto a 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ layer of Gorgeous Grape Card. Then I glued the assembled layers to the front of the card base.
With that done I was ready to stamp my sentiment. I chose “True love stories last forever” from the Elegantly Said Stamp Set. Then I cut a 3/4″ x 3-1/8″ strip of Basic White Card and stamped the sentiment using Gorgeous Grape ink.
Finally I cut a 7/8″ x 3-1/8″ strip of Gorgeous Grape Card and glued the sentiment onto it. Then with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals I attached the assembled sentiment across the centre of the decorative panel. With that my project was complete.

I have to say I just love how this turned out, and not just because it’s purple. That large image allowed me to create a really pretty centre panel in no time at all. Plus I could stamp part of the image across the corner of the card liner and envelope so the detail is there without taking up too much space. What do you think?
PRODUCT LIST
BUNDLE BONUS – I bought the Elegantly Said Stamp Set in a bundle with the Elegant Tag Punch (not used today) using a single ‘bundle’ item number. This meant I saved 10% off the cost of buying the two items separately. I’ve included a link to the bundle in case you want to explore that option further.
