The sky is blue and the sun is shining, and even though there’s a chill in the air it looks like it’s going to be a lovely day. While some of it will be spent working at the pharmacy, I’ll still have time for a little crafting too. With everything else that’s going on right now I always try to look for the positive. Things may not be great, but they could certainly be worse. I suppose I’m a glass half-full kind of person, grateful for everything that comes my way.

ORNATE GARDEN SPECIALTY PAPER
At first glance you might think that the Ornate Garden 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) is quite feminine. To a certain extent you may have a point. But like most DSP packs there are some gorgeous designs that would work well for masculine or gender neutral project too. So it was with that in mind that I sat down to make today’s #simplestamping project.
It all started with a gorgeous Mint Macaron and gold foil design that I cut to 3″ x 5-1/2″.
Next I cut and scored some Thick Whisper White Card, folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create my card base. Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I attached the DSP to the front of the card about 3/8″ from the bottom edge.
SO GRATEFUL
Turning to the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set I chose the large “So grateful” sentiment. Using Old Olive ink I stamped it onto a 1/2″ strip of Whisper White Card. Then I glued it onto card front about 1/2″ from the bottom edge of the DSP layer.
Although I liked the look, I decided it needed a little more definition. So going back to my Mint Macaron Card scraps I found some 1/8″ strips. Then with liquid glue I added the strips of card either side of the sentiment and the DSP layer.

With the card front done I then turned to the inside of the card and the envelope. I could have used more DSP for this but instead pulled out the Ornate Style Stamp Set. Like the DSP there’s a lot of flowers, but I was interested in the small corner flourish image. This image coordinates with the pattern on the DSP and was perfect accent for this project.
Using Old Olive ink I first stamped the image in the top left and bottom right corners on the front of a Whisper White Medium Envelope. Then I did the same on a layer of Whisper White Card.
Once I’d fixed the Whisper White layer inside the card base this week’s #simplestamping project was complete.
PRODUCT LIST
BUNDLE BONUS – I bought the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set in a bundle with the Ornate Borders Dies. The Ornate Style Stamp Set was purchased in a bundle with the Ornate Layers Dies. Buying products using a single ‘bundle’ item number saved time, but more importantly saved me 10% off the cost of buying the same items separately. I’ve included links to the bundles below in case you want to look at this option.
I love the simplicity of this.
Thank you Pam
