Did you know as well as their Annual and Mini (seasonal) catalogues Stampin Up! has ‘online only’ products too? For the past year or so we’ve been treated to the Kits Collection. As the name suggests this is a collection of kits that contain all the prepared pieces to create specific projects. I love these as they’re great for crafting on the go. Of course you don’t have to follow the instructions exactly and I enjoy making alternate projects, like this Valentine’s “with love” gift tag using the Christmas Gifting Kit.

QUICKEST TAG
The Christmas Gifting Kit contains large tag bases as well as little ready assembled pockets. These pockets are the perfect size for a gift card, but would be equally fun with a small candy or little note.
For this Valentine’s tag I chose the red and black pocket and cut 6″ of Real Red Baker’s Twine from the kit. I pushed out the little circle of card cut at the top and threaded the twine through the hole before tying it with a simple knot.
Going back to the kit I found one of the red-edged sentiment strips. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) from my stash I fixed the strip across the front of the pocket. Then I trimmed off the excess using my Paper Snips.

Then from the kit I took one of the die-cut circle pieces and the “with love” sentiment from the included stamp set. The kit also comes with a Shaded Spruce mini ink spot but it didn’t fit my colour scheme. So instead I reached for the Real Red ink pad from my stash. After stamping the sentiment I added some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels from my stash. Then using Stampin’ Dimensionals included in the kit I attached the sentiment to the pocket.
And just like that I’d created an all-occasion gift tag from the Christmas Gifting Kit. Sometimes it pays to take a second look at the kits don’t you think?

PRODUCT LIST
As I mentioned, kits in the Kits Collection can’t be found in any catalogue but are available in the Kits Collection section of my online store. Once a kit goes out of stock it will be removed from the store. It will reappear when / if more stocks arrive. New kits are released roughly every two months. Also, starting from March 1st Stampin’ Up! will be releasing additional ‘online only’ products under the banner “Online exclusives”. These will include exclusive stamp sets, dies, paper, embellishments and much more. I’ll have additional information about these special products nearer to their release date.
