It was fun unpacking the orders that were delivered yesterday. I love taking a closer look at products my customers have ordered that I haven’t got. Sometimes I can see why they bought them, even though it’s perhaps not my style. Other times it makes me add a product to my wish list. That’s what I love about the Stampin’ Up! catalogues, there’s always something for every taste. I wonder if today will be the day you decide to order the Tailor Made Tags Dies or He’s The Man DSP?

TAILOR MADE
With my new products calling out for me to come and play today’s project is a quickie. Sunday is Father’s Day and so I decided to reach for the He’s The Man 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP).
I began by sifting through the pop-out pieces on one of the sheets and found the perfect place to start, the “Best Dad Award”. This pre-printed sentiment meant I wouldn’t have to do any stamping today.
Next I chose a Sahara Sand and Basic White sheet and cut a piece 2″ x 4-1/4″. I also cut a piece of Sahara Sand Card the same size and found a small scrap of Early Espresso Card. Taking the card and DSP over to my Mini Cut & Emboss Machine I was now ready to do a little die-cutting.
From the Tailor Made Tags Dies I chose the largest of the flat-topped dies. I needed two of these, one cut from the DSP and one from the Sahara Sand Card. Then I found the small die that cuts the reinforcing pieces for the oval hole and cut that from the Early Espresso scrap.
Next, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I glued the two tag pieces back-to-back. Then I added the Early Espresso reinforcements to both sides.
While I didn’t need to cut the “Best Dad Award” piece I did decide to add a little more strength. So I found a scrap of Sahara Sand Card and glued it to the back. With that done I added the sentiment to the tag front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally I cut 6″ of Very Vanilla twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and attached it to the tag. In next to no time my tag was complete.
I love how quickly this tag came together. Having that sentiment piece ready to add also gives me an idea… I think I should stamp and prepare a selection of different sentiments and keep them with the dies. That way I can create a tag for that last minute gift in minutes. What do you think?
