Well those two days certainly flew by! Mind you they were quite productive. The new products have definitely got my creative brain going. I’ve made a good start on my Mini Catalogue sneak peeks although I have lots more to do. Today I must remember to photograph the completed projects and get them ready for Wednesday’s sneak peek kick-off. Meanwhile I decorated this mini sticky notes pad using products from the Annual Catalogue. Now to go through the Mini Catalogue again and tag all the other fun things I’d like.

DAYS TO REMEMBER
I started today’s project with a 1-1/2″ x 2″ sticky notes pad that my granddaughter discovered in our local Dollarstore last week. The bright yellow pages immediately had me looking for a complimentary colour and out came my scraps of Starry Sky Card.
Among the pile I found a 1-3/4″ x 4-3/8″ piece that was perfect. So I wrapped the card around the pad and marked the fold lines using my fingers. Then I removed the pad and sharpened the creases with a Bone Folder.
Before moving on I wanted to add a sentiment and I found exactly what I needed in the Days To Remember Stamp Set. First, using VersaMark ink I stamped “don’t forget” near the centre section of the card. Then I sprinkled the sticky ink with white powder from the Basics Embossing Powders pack. After tapping off the excess powder I removed a few stray specks, then melted the rest with my heat tool set on 2 (high).
Now I was ready to fix the sticky notes pad in place, but not before adding a little ribbon ‘handle’. So I cut 8″ of Starry Sky 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon and tied the ends together in a reef knot. Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I fixed the ribbon loop to the back of the pad, tight up against one of the short edges. Next I wrapped the card around the pad with the ribbon end next to the crease and glued the card to the back of the pad. Now it had a convenient little hanging loop.
Finally I found a piece of the Zoo Crew 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) that I’d fussy cut previously but not used. The little trees fitted perfectly into the space below the sentiment, so I glued them on. And just like that my project was complete.
I love the small size of these sticky notes as an alternative to using my regular 3″ x 3″ pads. Now to grab that September to December 2023 Mini Catalogue and put them to good use!
