It’s official, I’m addicted to the September to December 2023 Mini Catalogue. As an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I was able to order products in advance of the official launch (and at a discount too!) and I just can’t stop playing with them. I’ll be starting my sneak peeks tomorrow, one week before the Mini Catalogue goes live. This gives you time to get excited, without making you wait too long before you can order them. Meanwhile here’s a quick thank you card created using the Dainty Delight Stamp Set.

DAINTY DELIGHT
The Dainty Delight Stamp Set was first released in the January to April 2023 Mini Catalogue. I loved the delicate floral images and immediately treated myself to the stamp set and coordinating Dainty Delight Dies. So imagine my surprise yesterday when I discovered that the largest image had yet to see any ink. I had to remedy that!
I began my project with two 4″ x 5-1/4″ pieces of Very Vanilla Card, and a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. Using Old Olive ink I first stamped the whole image on the left side of one of the card pieces. On the second card piece I stamped about 2/3 of the image coming in from the left side. Then I stamped the image on the front of the envelope coming in from the left side too.
I decided to colour all three images with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers but without bothering to actually blend. On the five largest flowers I used dark Petal Pink before changing to light Petal Pink for the umbrella-style flower head towards the top of the image. Next, for the three small flowers towards the bottom left I chose dark Calypso Coral. Then I used the light Calypso Coral to colour the stem with four four-petal flowers. Finally I used dark Old Olive on the grassy stem, and finished all the leaves with light Old Olive.
QUICK FINISH
Now the delicate floral images were complete I was ready to start putting the card together.
I began by cutting and scoring some Old Olive Card to create an A2 (4-1/4″ x 5/1/2″) card base. Then I folded the card along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. On the inside of the card I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to attach the Very Vanilla layer with the partial image.
For the sentiment I went back to the Dainty Delight Stamp Set. I chose “Thank you for your kindness” and stamped it using Old Olive ink in a space towards the top of the large floral image.

Next I wrapped some Linen Thread three times around the bottom of the layer. To give it a more rustic look I then took a short piece of the thread and tied it in a simple knot around the three strands. With that done I used liquid glue to add the assembled layer to the card front and I was finished.
I love how this card turned out and while colouring the small parts of the image was a little fiddly it really didn’t take long at all.
