I’ve had a lot of fun looking back over projects that I made months and sometimes years ago, and last week in my blog post Remember to look back I reminded you of a sympathy card made using the Colorful Seasons and Flourishing Phrases Stamp Sets together with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.
I recently came across another project that has been really popular, no doubt because it uses the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set which is still available despite being first sold by Stampin’ Up! more than a decade ago.
This project comes from way back on October 18, 2015 and in my blog post Colour inspiration I explained how to make this card. What’s funny is that one of the colours used, Mossy Meadow, was retired 8 months after that post was published but it’s now available again as part of the Stampin’ Up! 2018 colour revamp. So I can safely say that even though this isn’t a new project, you can still buy all the products used to make it.
PROJECT REVAMP
One of the challenges I’ve found in looking for older projects to show you is that many of them use products that are now retired, and I prefer to only show you projects using tools and materials you can still buy if you wish. Of course I could simply suggest you use a different colour, or stamp set or Designer Series Paper, but not everyone finds it that easy to do that.
So, here’s what I have in mind.
I’d like you, my faithful blog readers, to tell me which of my previous projects you’d like me to revisit and remake using only Stampin’ Up! products that are available to purchase now. Drop me an email (use the ‘Get In Touch’ link at the top of the page) and let me know the date of the original post, or the title of the project, or a detailed description, and I’ll revamp the project for 2018 and post it on my blog.
Since I’ve only had this new PapercraftWithMe.com website for a month or so, you’ll find all my older projects over in my Stampin’ Up! website gallery.
I can’t wait to find out what projects you choose.
SUPPLY LIST
So here’s the list of all the Stampin’ Up! tools and materials I used to create today’s ‘thinking of you’ card. You can click on an item for more information and then add it to your online shopping bag if you wish.
Let me think about that one awhile, Tracy. Meanwhile, I hope that SU NEVER retires this stamp set … it stands alone and it is simply timeless. Love your card as much today as I did back then, furthermore. Mossy Meadow was a huge “Hurray!” comeback for me. I cannot live without it and use it for all of my watercolouring work … have been ever since it arrived on the scene! Really wise move on their part to bring it back, for sure! TFS
Thank you Geraldine
