It’s that time of year when lots of people seem to be unwell and get well cards are in demand. Today’s Simple Sunday project is a quick any easy design with a clever pun on the inside.

SIMPLE BALLOON IMAGE
I began this get well card with the Special Someone Stamp Set and Pretty Peacock ink pad.
First I stamped the balloon outline onto a small piece of Very Vanilla Card, then I stamped the string. Next I inked up the solid balloon image but then ‘stamped off’ onto some scrap paper. This removed some of the ink from the stamp so when I stamped inside the outline my balloon was a lighter shade.
On a separate layer of Very Vanilla Card I stamped the balloon again, this time in the top right corner. Then I finished off by stamping the balloon halfway up the right side of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope.
ALMOST DONE
With all three balloon images complete I needed to add my sentiment which comes in two parts.
The first part of my get well message says “This balloon is special…” and I stamped that beneath my first balloon image. Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I attached this piece to a layer of Pretty Peacock Card.

On the other piece of Very Vanilla Card I stamped the second half of the sentiment “it’s filled with heal-ium!” Then I fixed this layer inside a Thick Very Vanilla Card base with liquid glue.
Finally I added the layered sentiment to the front of the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals and my simple get well card was complete.

Are you a fan of puns? I find them funny and often very clever. When someone’s unwell it’s nice to send a card to make them smile, don’t you think?

Love it! Must try this … if only I can remember when the occasion rises … or rather, when the balloon rises, or something like that!! Very clever indeed … 😐
Thank you Geraldine
