Two weeks from today we’ll find out which Stampin’ Up! products will be retiring from the 2022-2023 Annual and January to April 2023 Mini Catalogues. Every year at this time I’m sad at the thought of seeing favourite items go, but at the same time excited for all the new products that will replace them. I’ve a horrible feeling that the Bamboo Beauty Stamp Set won’t make the cut as it’s coming up on two years old. So that was the set I chose for today’s simple caring card project.

EASY BAMBOO CUTTINGS
I began with some some scraps of Very Vanilla Card along with the Crumb Cake and Pear Pizzazz ink pads. From the Bamboo Beauty Stamp Set I took both bamboo stems and the smaller of the leaf images.
After stamping the stems once each and the leaf image twice I cut around them using my Paper Snips. Then I layered them together using a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
Next on a 2″ x 3″ piece of Very Vanilla Card I stamped “sending caring thoughts” in the bottom right-hand corner using Crumb Cake ink. Then I glued on my bamboo arrangement and set the piece aside.
At this point I decided to make the bamboo images my coordinating feature and stamped them onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Very Vanilla Card and also on the front of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope.
For my card base I cut a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Pear Pizzazz Card using my Paper Trimmer. Then with the long side at the top I scored the card at 4-1/4″ using the scoring blade. After folding the card along the scored line I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. Then I glued the stamped 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer on the inside.

To finish I needed two more pieces of card, a 2-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ piece of Pear Pizzazz and a 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla. Once I’d glued the two layers together I added the assembled sentiment piece on top and my card was complete.
Such a simple design, but one that seems perfectly suited to the caring sentiment, don’t you think?
