So this week, Tuesday is Monday and we’re back to our normal routine, at least for a few days. We still have some turkey left which is how we like it. It won’t last much longer though, but we still have a big ham to bake so that our festivities can continue into New Year. These few days between the holidays leaves me with just a little time to craft. So today’s project is a simple thank you card using the Framed Florets Stamp Set, with absolutely no colouring required.

FITTING FLORETS
For my card background I chose the twin flower and berry image from the Framed Florets Stamp Set. I cut two 4″ x 5-1/4″ pieces of Very Vanilla Card and pulled out a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. Then using a Tuxedo Black ink pad I set to work.
First I covered the flap of the envelope with the stamped image. Then I stamped one of the images in the bottom right corner of one of the card layers. Finally I covered the second Very Vanilla layer with the flower image. My aim on this layer was to get the images as close together as I could without overlapping them. So I began at one end and worked my way down, turning the stamp a little to fit them in.
With the flowers all done I went back to the Framed Florets Stamp Set for the sentiment. Still using Tuxedo Black ink I stamped “Thank you with all my heart” in the centre of a 2″ x 3″ piece of Very Vanilla Card. Then I was ready to begin putting the card together.
QUICK LAYERS
First I used my Paper Trimmer to cut a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Thick Very Vanilla Card. Then with the long side at the top I used the scoring blade to score the card at 4-1/4″. After folding the card along the scored line I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create my basic A2 card base.
Next I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to fix the first Very Vanilla layer (only stamped in the corner) inside the card base.
Before attaching the remaining layers I decided to mount them on contrasting card mats. So I cut a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ piece of Basic Black Card and glued the stamped background layer onto it leaving an even border on all sides.

Next I cut 7″ of 7/8″ Natural Finish Ribbon and wrapped it around the layers, securing it on the back with a little Tear & Tape Adhesive. With that done I fixed the assembled layers to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally I cut a 2-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ piece of Basic Black Card and glued the sentiment on top with an even border on all sides. Then with more Stampin’ Dimensionals I attached the sentiment over the ribbon and my simple thank you card was complete.
I love how quickly and easily this card came together. If you have more time there are lots of ways to step it up…. Colour one or more of the images, stamp and cut one image and add it to the sentiment layer. Or you could even die-cut this particular image from the coordinating Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP). Just be aware that the paper will be retired on January 4th 2023 (stocks are very limited however and it could sell out before then).
