I love the Many Messages Stamp Set especially as the coordinating Messages Die cuts all 19 sentiments (and 4 small shapes) in one go. The sentiments feature different fonts and a variety of sizes and cover different occasions which is great. But even so I wanted more, and expressed my hope for additional stamp sets to use with the die. Looking through the upcoming 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue I saw that my hopes are coming true. Although I can’t order it until May 4th, the new Many Happenings Stamp Set immediately made my wish list. With sentiments for new babies, weddings, retirement and bereavement I know it will be popular.
In the meantime I had to content myself with another sentiment from the original Many Messages Stamp Set. So, together with some floral paper from the black and white True Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack, I created this card project.

COLOURFUL FLOWERS
I began my card with a 6″ x 6″ piece of the small daisy design from the True Love DSP.
Then I simply took a selection of Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers and coloured in the flowers and leaves. In the end I used Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie and light Calypso Coral on the flowers, and Old Olive on the leaves. On many of the flowers I used a light and dark version of the same colour, but I also discovered a couple of other interesting combinations. One was dark Mango Melody and dark Pumpkin Pie, and the other was light Mango Melody and light Calypso Coral. Once all the DSP was coloured I was ready to cut the pieces for my project.
I began by using my Paper Trimmer to cut and score some Basic Black Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create a card base.
Turning to the DSP I cut a 2-1/4″ x 6″ piece and fixed it to the flap of a Whisper White Medium Envelope using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow). Then I trimmed off the excess with Paper Snips using the edge of the flap as a guide.
Next I cut a piece 3-3/4″ x 5″ and glued that to a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ layer of Whisper White Card and set this aside. Then I glued the remaining 1″ x 3-3/4″ DSP strip close to the bottom of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Card. Finally, using more liquid glue I fixed this layer on the inside of the card base.
READY MADE MESSAGES
Now for my sentiment I pulled out my Many Messages Stamp Set. Inside the case I found a little bag filled with sentiments that I’d prepared a week or two ago.
First using VersaMark ink I’d stamped the large Many Messages Stamp onto some Thick Whisper White Card. Then I sprinkled the sticky ink with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and tapped off the excess. After removing some stray specks, I melted the rest of the powder using my Heat Tool set on 2 (high).
Once the embossing had cooled I lined up the coordinating Messages Die over the sentiments using the four small shapes on the stamp to help me. Then I simply had to run it once through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut all 19 sentiments and four shapes. By storing the ready-made sentiments with the stamp set I save myself lots of time when creating projects. For today’s project I chose “I’m so happy to celebrate these moments with you”.

To complete the card I took the layered DSP and wrapped a piece of gold 3/8″ Fine Art Ribbon around the centre. Then I secured the ends of the ribbon on the back of the layers using Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Next, using Stampin’ Dimensionals I fixed the assembled layer to the front of the card base, and then finished off by adding the sentiment on top.
I love how this project turned out with the bright and cheerful the floral paper. It looks very different from the striking black and white version I started with don’t you think?
