Some stamps sets attract me because of the images, some because of the sentiments, and some for both. I must admit that the Incredible Like You Stamp Set was more about the sentiments for me. I love the two fonts used for each one, crisp clear and easy to read. They’re a good size too so you won’t miss them on a project.
So the focus of my Design Team contribution for this week’s What Will You Stamp? challenge, WWYS208 Incredible Like You, should come as no surprise.

CONTRASTING LAYERS
I decided to start with the card base. Using my Stampin’ Trimmer I cut and scored a piece of Mint Macaron Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
Next I cut a piece of the gorgeous Share What You Love 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) to cover the whole of the card front, and attached it using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
With the base done I turned to Vellum Cardstock for the angled layer. Once I’d cut a piece, I then used my die-cutting machine and magnetic plate with the long die from the Stitched Be Mine Dies to shape the bottom edge. Then using the same die I shaped the right hand side of the Vellum.
With two of the edges scalloped and stitched it was much easier to work out the next stage, cutting the angle. I held the Vellum on the front of my card and tilted it until I liked how it looked. Then I flipped everything over and used a pencil to mark where the excess Vellum extended past the edges of the card base. Finally I trimmed the Vellum along the pencil lines.
Before I could attach the Vellum there was one last thing to do. I went back to my Big Shot and put the Vellum inside the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Then I placed the folder directly onto the multipurpose platform with a cutting pad on top. Once I rolled the folder backwards and forward through the machine I had beautifully textured Vellum. All I needed to do now was put a line of Tear & Tape along the two straight edges of the Vellum and attach it to the DSP.

SIMPLE SENTIMENT
Now the layers were complete, the ‘Hope your day is as amazing as you’ sentiment came next.
I wanted to keep it simple, so with Tranquil Tide ink I stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White Card.
Then I die-cut the sentiment and add stitching to coordinate with the Vellum layer. I found the perfect die in the Stitched Rectangles Dies, #C1 – the smallest in the group of 8 nesting dies.
Once cut, I added the sentiment to the corner of the Vellum layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To complete the front of the card I added a line of three Basic Black Faceted Dots in the bottom right corner. Then I wrapped some Whisper White Baker’s Twine around the top edge of the card front three times and tied it in a bow.
FINISHING TOUCHES
Although the Incredible like you stamp set has additional images, they didn’t coordinate with the patterned paper. So instead I turned to the Love What You Do Stamp Set and the small leafy stem.
Using Tranquil Tide ink I stamped the stem randomly up the left and right edges of a layer of Whisper White Card. Then I fixed the layer inside the card base with liquid glue.
Finally I stamped the same leafy stem up the left and right edges on the front of a Whisper White Medium Envelope, and I was finished.
This design of this card is a little different for me but I have to say I love how it turned out. I’ve embossed Vellum before, but never with the Subtle Embossing Folder, and you have to admit the result is amazing. What’s more the texture hides the strips of adhesive beautifully. I hope you like it too.
WWYS208 INCREDIBLE LIKE YOU

You’ll find more inspiring projects for the Incredible Like You Stamp Set in the What Will You Stamp? challenge blog for WWYS208 today.
I’ll be headed over there in a minute to take a look myself. None of the Design Team knows what the others are doing so it’s always fun to see their creations.
If you have the Incredible Like You Stamp Set we’d love to see your ideas. Just create a new project (it doesn’t have to be a card) using at least one stamp from the set. Then upload it to our challenge blog for everyone to see. At the end of the challenge we’ll randomly choose one person to be our winner. They get bragging rights and a winners badge for their social media. Plus there’s also an invitation to be our Guest Designer two weeks later. It’s a fun challenge so I hope you can join us.

This a personal favourite of mine too, Tracy … for the same reason, although I have fussy-cut a ton of the flowers and leaves too! And I love those stripes!! Love what you have done with the vellum layered over the gorgeous DSP too, on this card … and have wondered how many miss the scalloped-edged die that you have used. It’s lovely, isn’t it?! Well done with this one too! TFS!
Thank you Geraldine. Yes I think a lot of people will miss that 6″ long scallop edge die among the hearts in the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.
