I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the artists at Stampin’ Up! are simply amazing. Today I want to give you a sneak peek of the Perennial Essence Suite, and particularly the Designer Series Paper (DSP). But first, here’s my very simple Sunday project.

SIMPLE START
This card really couldn’t be simpler. I started with a large card base from the Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. This card is cut and pre-scored and just needs to be folded. I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to get a really crisp fold.
Next I cut a 4″ x 6″ piece from the Perennial Essence 12″ x 12″ DSP pack and glued it to the front of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
Then I cut a 1″ x 6″ strip of the same paper and fixed that inside the card down the right-hand edge.
Finally I cut one last piece of the DSP and glued it to the flap of the envelope. Then, using the edge of the flap as I guide, I cut the DSP to shape using Paper Snips.
FLORAL ESSENCE
For the sentiment I turned to the Floral Essence Stamp Set and Blackberry Bliss ink.

I chose the ‘All days are beautiful that begin with you’ sentiment and stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White Card.
Then I cut some Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Ribbon and laid it diagonally across the front of my card.
Finally, using liquid glue, I attached the sentiment over the top of the ribbon and my card was done.
This card is all about that gorgeous paper and uses minimal layers. If you wanted to dress it up a little you could add a mat under the sentiment, or pop it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. That’s the beauty of #simplestamping, once you’ve got the basics you can add more to suit your own taste and budget.
PERENNIAL ESSENCE SUITE
Let’s start with the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. This pack of twelve double-sided 12″ x 12″ sheets has twelve gorgeous designs. Each one was hand-painted by the artists at Stampin’ Up! and then photographed. The colours used in the DSP are: Balmy Blue, Blackberry Bliss, Blueberry Bushel, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Petal Pink, So Saffron and Whisper White. Although this the pack has a floral theme, there are sheets that would work well for masculine projects too.

Also in the Perennial Essence Suite is the Floral Essence Stamp Set.

Other items in the suite include the Perennial Flower Punch. This coordinates with the three petal flower in the stamp set. If you decide to get the stamp set and punch, you’ll be able to buy them in a bundle and save 10%.
Next there’s the Perennial Essence Floral Centers I showed you in my blog post Putting Away The Punch Board.
Also in the suite is the Perennial Essence 12″ x 12″ Vellum Cardstock. This pack contains 12 sheets of coloured vellum (4 each of Old Olive, Petal Pink and So Saffron). I showed you a sneak peek of this in my blog post Fairy Celebration and Butterfly Wings.
And last but not least, the Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon used on today’s project.
All in all it’s an amazing suite of products and I think it’s going to be very popular. If you want it all you’ll even be able to buy the entire suite using just one item number #152166. How’s that for a simple solution.
All these new items will be available to purchase once the Stampin’ Up! 2019/2020 Annual Catalogue goes live on June 4th. Once that happens I’ll add a full supply list to the bottom of this, and all my other sneak peek posts, with links to the individual products.
Well that’s it for today, I hope you’ll join me tomorrow for something old and something new. Until then, whatever you have planned, I wish you a great day.
