One of the things that originally attracted me to the Rustic Crate Stamp Set was the pretty images. I’ve always been a sucker for poinsettias, but this set had a gorgeous autumn arrangement of pumpkins, sunflowers and corn-cobs. So when I had to create a card in a hurry this was a bit of a no-brainer. All I needed was some basic layers and my trusty Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. Then just because I could I cut out one image with the coordinating die before quickly putting it all together.

A LITTLE RUSTIC IMAGERY
I began by cutting a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Card, and pulling out a separate scrap of Very Vanilla Card along with a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. On the large card layer and front of the envelope I stamped the pumpkins image in the bottom right-hand corner using Wild Wheat ink. Then I stamped it one final time on the scrap of card.
Using my Stampin’ Blends I coloured the pumpkins with light and dark Pumpkin Pie. Then I added some darker areas with light Cajun Craze. Next I coloured the sunflowers using dark Daffodil Delight with some light and dark Pumpkin Pie towards the centres. On the larger leaves I used dark Old Olive, leaving the lighter Old Olive for the leaves on the corn. Finally I coloured the ears of corn wih Dark Daffodil Delight and a little light Pumpkin Pie.
With the colouring complete I cut the image from the scrap card using the coordinating die from the Rustic Crate Dies set.
Now I was ready for my simple A2 card base cut from Thick Very Vanilla Card. After scoring it on the long side at 4-1/4″ I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.

Next I cut another 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Card. Then from the Rustic Crate Stamp Set I chose “Blessed beyond measure”. Using Early Espresso ink I stamped the sentiment towards the bottom right-hand corner of the layer. Then I added the die-cut image just above the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals, before mountng the layer onto the card front with liquid glue.
Finally I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to fix the original decorated Very Vanilla layer on the inside of the card base and my seasonal project was complete.
