This morning we seem to be having major issues with our internet cutting out every few minutes. Hopefully it will hang on long enough to allow me to post today’s project. There’s a sentiment in the new Sailing Home Stamp Set that I love “Set sail in the direction of your dreams”. So when I found a mini wooden picture frame I knew exactly what I’d do…

NAUTICAL FRAME
This little wooden frame didn’t look very nautical when I found it. So I put some Tear & Tape Adhesive around the sides and then wrapped it with the new Night of Navy / Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine. That made a big difference.
Next I stamped the sentiment onto a 2″ x 2″ piece of Shimmery White Card using Night of Navy ink, and inserted it into the frame.
Then using more Shimmery White Card and Night of Navy ink I stamped the small yacht image. I left the sails as they were but coloured the hull using light and dark Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. Then I added a little light and dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends for the water.

With that done I used my retiring Big Shot and Magnetic Platform to cut out the yacht with the coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies.
To complete the project I fixed the yacht to the frame with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow). Then finished off with a ship’s wheel from the Sail Away Trinkets attached with Mini Glue Dots.

SAILING HOME STAMP SET
I really love the Sailing Home Stamp Set and all the coordinating parts of the suite. All the new products will be available to purchase one week from today on June 4th (from noon MT). In the meantime, I’ll leave you with a proper look at the stamp set.

So now I’m off to phone the internet company to find out what’s going on with my service. Hopefully it will be sorted out before I need to write tomorrow’s blog.

BUNDLE BONUS – You can buy the Sailing Home Stamp Set and coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies separately, but if you want both you’ll save 10% if you order them using the ‘bundle’ item number. I have included both options below so you can explore these options further if you wish.
I love this idea. I’m always thinking of different ways to use my card making supplies and this is one I’d love to try. Thanks for your inspriation.
Thank you Cathy. I find that sometimes doing a little tidying up and sorting out worth it, not always, but sometimes.
