Another weekend is over and once again I didn’t achieve everything on my list. Still, some of the things I did do won’t need to be repeated for several months so there’s always a bright side. Three weeks tomorrow the Stampin’ Up! 2023/2024 Annual Catalogue goes live and we’ll be able to order lots of new things. Meanwhile I’m enjoying something from the Online Exclusives range, the Growth Takes Time Stamp Set. The “look how far you’ve come” sentiment was certainly apt for today’s project, and the tree’s cute too!

TIME FOR A TREE
This project really was quick and easy and I started by cutting a 2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Thick Basic White Card. Then using a Blending Brush I added a very light layer of Starry Sky ink over the surface.
Next from the Growth Takes Time Stamp Set I chose the snaller of the two tree images. Using Garden Green ink I stamped it in the bottom left corner of the strip. Then I stamped the sentiment in the space above.
Next I coloured in the leaves using the light and dark Granny Apple Green Stampin Blends alcohol markers. On the stem and branches I used light Crumb Cake, and switched to the dark Crumb Cake for the ground.
To finish I punched a slot at the top of the card strip using the Very Best Trio Punch. Then I cut two 6″ pieces of Garden Green twine from the Three Twine Combo Pack. After folding the two pieces in half I poked the loops through the hole then threaded the cut ends through the loops. Once I’d pulled gently to secure the twine in place my quick bookmark project was complete.
My regular readers will know I love bookmarks, but this one especially makes me smile. After all it’s actually telling me “look how far you’ve come” as I open the book to continue reading!
