Just minutes after publishing yesterday’s blog post we had our first power outage! It definitely seems like this winter storm could be coming in sooner than planned, so this will be a very short post. Still I promised you a sneak peek and that’s what I have, using the new True Love Designer Series Paper (DSP).

TRUE LOVE

The True Love 12″ x 12″ DSP pack contains twelve double-sided sheets with twelve black and white designs (2 sheets of each). The designs are a mixture of florals and graphic patterns that make it great for masculine, gender neutral and feminine projects.

Today I simply cut a 2″ x 5-1/2″ strip of one of the floral patterns and coloured it in using Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. For the larger flowers I chose Flirty Flamingo, with Purple Posy for the smaller ones. I then finished off by colouring the leaves using Granny Apple Green.

With the colouring done I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to fix the DSP to a 2″ x 5-1/2″ strip of retiring Whisper White Card. Then I shaped one end and added a ribbon slot using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

Finally I threaded some Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon through the slot and tied it in a simple knot.

Phew, project done with my simple Sunday blog written and scheduled before the next, and possibly longer power outage hits. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, whatever surprises it brings.
