With all the talk about the Retiring or ‘Last Chance’ List I wanted to point out a few important details. Firstly, not everything on the list is going to be reduced. Secondly, any discounted prices will not come into effect until Tuesday April 4th. However, between now and then some retiring products are likely to go out of stock. It’s always a juggling act. Today I wanted to highlight five more items that are being retired. The one I’ll definitely miss the most is the multi-occasion Celebrating You Stamp Set.
In fact this project contains FIVE products that are being retired (see the product lists below). First I chose this pretty floral pattern from the Hues of Happiness 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. Then I used the main die from the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies to cut out the basic gift card holder piece. After folding the paper along the ‘scored’ lines left by the die I put a little Tear & Tape Adhesive onto the side and bottom tabs. Finally I tucked the tabs in, folded over the front section and pressed it firmly into place.
Next I cut some 1/4″ Old Olive Twill Ribbon, wrapped it around the centre of the envelope and tied it in a square knot.
Now I was ready to stamp and chose the “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment from the Celebrating You Stamp Set. After stamping it onto Thick Basic White Card with Tuxedo Black ink I went to look for something to cut it out. But then I remembered that the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies includes some label type dies too! So I simply chose the scalloped rectangle die from there and used that.
With that done I added three Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels around the sentiment. Then using Stampin’ Dimensionals I attached the sentiment over the ribbon and my pretty Mother’s Day gift card holder was done.
