I have to admit that since I got my hands on the 2022-2024 In Colors I’ve been a bit obsessed with the new blue, Starry Sky. But who can blame me, it’s simply gorgeous. However I decided today it was time to do something completely different. So instead of bold blues I went with soft colours for a more romantic feel. The pretty florals of the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set was perfect for what I had in mind. In no time at all I had exactly what I had planned.

HAPPINESS ABOUNDS
I began this card with stemmed flower image from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set and the multi-leaf stem. I wanted this card to have a soft and dreamy feel so chose Very Vanilla Card for the entire project. First I cut two pieces, 4″ x 5-1/4″ of Very Vanilla Card, then found some scraps of Thick Very Vanilla Card for my accent pieces.
Using Sahara Sand ink I stamped just the flower all over one of the Very Vanilla layers. Then I stamped a single flower in the bottom right corner of the second Very Vanilla layer. I stamped another flower on the scrap of Thick Very Vanilla Card and one final flower on the front of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. Finally I finished with two of the leafy images stamped onto the scrap of Thick Very Vanilla Card.
With the images done I set to work colouring them using Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. For all the flower petals I used just the Ivory marker. Then I changed to light Mint Macaron for all the flower stems plus the two leaf images. No blending was needed, just a nice even colour.
However I wasn’t quite finished with the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set as I still had the sentiment to do. I chose “Wishing you all the happiness you can imagine” which would be perfect for a wedding or engagement card.
Using VersaMark ink I stamped the sentiment onto a 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Very Vanilla Card. Then I sprinkled the sticky ink with gold powder from the Metallic Stampin’ Emboss Powder pack. After tapping off the excess powder I removed a few stray specks, and melted the rest using my heat tool set on 2 (high).
BLOSSOMING HAPPINESS
I was almost ready to start putting the card together but first I needed to cut out the flower and leaves stamped on the Thick Very Vanilla Card. This was a quick and easy process using the coordinating dies from the Blossoming Happiness Dies set. Now I had just a little layering to do and I’d be done.

Using my Paper Trimmer I cut and scored some Thick Very Vanilla Card. I folded the card along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. Then on the inside, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow), I attached the Very Vanilla layer with the single flower.
Next I used liquid glue to add the floral background layer to the front of the card base.
Before I went any further I cut a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of gold card from the Brushed Metallics Cardstock pack. Then I mounted the embossed sentiment piece onto it with liquid glue, before adding it to the background layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
This just left the three die-cut pieces. I fixed one of the leafy pieces with liquid glue and then added the flower and remaining leafy piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals. With a final touch of bling from three Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels my card was complete.
This project is quite different from some of my more recent cards and it certainly makes a nice change. But don’t be surprised when you see that blue again …

So Pretty Tracy! I would never expect those “Blends” combinations would have such a delicate, lovely outcome! I also love that you created your own “background”. This card could be appropriate for so many occasions. Thank you for the inspiration .
Thank you Barb, I’ve definitely found some delightful colour combinations with my Stampin’ Blends especially when using them on card colours other than white.
