Time is flying with just over a week left before the official end of the Stampin’ Up! 2023/2024 Annual Catalogue. Lots of retiring products have already sold out, however the three I’ve used for today’s simple Sunday project are still available. There’s no stamping on this project as I wanted to focus on the Designer Series Paper (DSP). The cute reader sitting on a stack of books is from the retiring Just Kiddin’ DSP pack. I couldn’t resist using it as the focal point on this quick and easy bookmark.

JUST FOLLOW THE LINES
To start I cut a 2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Thick Basic White Card. Then from the Tartan Foil Specialty DSP pack I chose the Lost Lagoon coloured sheet. After cutting a 2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of that I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to glue the paper onto the card strip.
Next I punched a slot at the top of the assembled layers using the retiring Very Best Trio Punch. Then I cut a 6″ piece of the retiring Moody Mauve 3/8″ Textured Ribbon and threaded it through the slot. To hold it in place I simply used a couple of Mini Glue Dots.
Now the bookmark base was done I was ready to cut around the image from the Just Kiddin’ DSP using my Paper Snips. Finally I added the fussy-cut image to bottom of the bookmark with liquid glue and my project was done.
For a card project using the Just Kiddin’ DSP see my earlier blog post IDEAS Blog Hop: Kiddin’ Around.
PRODUCT LIST
ONLINE EXCLUSIVES – The Tartan Foil Specialty DSP is an Online Exclusive product and may therefore be discontinued without warning.
LAST CHANCE PRODUCTS – Retiring products are only available while stocks last and may sell out at any time. The retiring Just Kiddin’ DSP is not reduced in price which suggests that there’s not a huge stock at the warehouse. However, the 3/8″ Textured Ribbon is now on sale at 40% off, while the punch is a real bargain at 50% off.
