Have you ever looked at something and only seen what you wanted to see? Well that happened to me with the On To Adventure Stamp Set when I saw four generations of my family. There was me, my hubby (complete with camera), plus my Dad (even though he doesn’t play golf) and our dancing granddaughter. It was only as I started to make a birthday card with the little dancing girl that I realised I’d missed a teeny tiny detail. You see it appears that the young dancer is actually an older lady doing yoga!
Not to be deterred, I continued on with my project and this is how it turned out.

YOGA POSE
I began with that girl/lady dancing/doing yoga, and stamped her onto some Whisper White Card using Tuxedo Black ink.
Then I coloured her in using 5 light and dark combos of Stampin’ Blends. The colours I chose were Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green.
Once the image was coloured I then used some Stampin’ Sponge to add a very light touch of Seaside Spray ink around the ‘sky’. Finally I mounted the piece onto some So Saffron vellum from the Perennial Essence 12″ x 12″ Vellum Cardstock pack.

UNCLUTTERED LAYERS
I wanted to keep this project really minimalist so chose Very Vanilla for my background layer and card base.
I began by wrapping some Linen Thread around a Very Vanilla layer and tied it in a bow. Then I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to attach it to a Thick Very Vanilla Card base. The layered image came next, attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
If you’ve not seen it before, here’s a short video I made that explains how I attach vellum to my projects without using special vellum adhesive.
For my sentiment I went back to the On To Adventure Stamp Set and “Wishing you everything wonderful”. First I inked up the stamp with Tuxedo Black ink, covered “everything wonderful” with some sellotape, and stamped the top half of the sentiment onto a strip of Very Vanilla Card. Then I fixed this piece to my card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Next I removed the sellotape from the stamp and reinked it. This time I covered “wishing you” with sellotape and stamped “everything wonderful” in the centre of a layer of Very Vanilla Card. Then I stamped the yoga lady in the bottom right corner of the layer with Tuxedo Black ink. With that done I added the completed piece to the inside of my card base using liquid glue.

Finally I stamped the yoga lady on the front of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope and my project was complete.
Considering I completely missed the fact that the On To Adventure Stamp Set was all about older people, I’m pretty happy with how it all turned out. Karma must have been on my side today.

So cute! Tracy! And YES! Haven’t we all at some time in our life, for sure! So nice to be back online again! TFS
Thank you Geraldine, it seems to be happening to me more and more. I blame my age. So good to hear from you again.
Strange things do begin to happen as we age Tracy! Both startling and entertaining … sometimes not always so welcomed either, but thankfully it comes gradually for the most part and just as we come to terms with one “odd” thing, another will appear. Enjoy the ride. She says with the voice of experience. I could almost see myself making the same observation in fact. (which is why I thought it so amusing) Still VERY CUTE at the end of it all!
Thank you Geraldine
