For the past few weeks I’ve been highlighting some of my favourite Stampin’ Up! products that are now retiring. Meanwhile I’m getting ready for the 2023/2034 Annual Catalogue launch. However there’s another category of products that’s easy to overlook, the Online Exclusives. These aren’t in any catalogue, and some are only available while stocks last. Even so I was shocked to see that the Rhino Ready Dies have sold out and are apparently discontinued. With that in mind I immediately created this card using two online exclusives that are still available.

RHINO BABY
While the coordinating dies were nice to have, the Rhino Ready Stamp Set works beautifully by itself too. I began by choosing the sitting rhino and stamped him onto a scrap of Thick Very Vanilla Card using Basic Gray ink. Then I simply coloured him in using light and dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers.
After punching out the image using the retiring Label Me Lovely Punch I set him aside while I worked on the rest of the card.
For the background I chose a pretty pattern from the Hello, Irresistible 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. The colours on this particular sheet are Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight and so I decided to use Petal Pink card to create my A2 card base. After using my Paper Trimmer to cut and score the card I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
Now from the 6″ x 6″ sheet of DSP I cut a 2-1/4″ x 6″ strip. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I fixed the DSP to the flap of a Very Vanilla Medioum Envelope. Then I simply trimmed off the excess paper with Paper Snips, using the edge of the flap as a guide.
Next from the DSP I cut a 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ strip and glued that down the right-hand edge of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Card. Then I fixed the assembled layer inside the folded card.
ONE HAPPY FAMILY
Turning back to the remaining 3″ wide piece of the DSP I trimmed that to 5-1/2″. Then using liquid glue I mounted it onto a 3-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Very Vanilla Card, before attaching the layers to the centre of my card front.

For the sentiment I turned to the retiring One Happy Family Stamp Set and chose “you made a little human!” I’ve always loved this sentiment as it works with every cute animal image I own. So using Basic Gray ink I stamped it onto a 1/2″ x 4-1/4″ strip of Thick Very Vanilla Card. Then I fixed it across the card front about 1″ from the bottom using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally using more Stampin’ Dimensionals I added the rhino image in the space above the sentiment, and just like that my baby card was complete.
