Having twin granddaughters is so interesting. They’re not identical, but sometimes it’s still hard to tell them apart. One appears to be right-handed and one left-handed (they even propel their scooters with opposite legs!). This week we discovered it’s common for twins to get chicken pox 14 days apart, and for the second twin to be much worse. The poor thing, is completely covered in blisters. I’ll video chat with her later but first here’s a “thinking of you” card using the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper (DSP).

FRESH AS A DAISY PANEL
One of the things I like about the Fresh As A Daisy DSP is that one of the sheets is made up of blocks containing different images. These are designed to be cut up and they make projects so easy to put together. Today I chose a 4″ x 4″ block of pretty white daisies with a touch of pale pink.
I knew I wanted to turn this paper into a lifted layer so I began by cutting a 3-7/8″ x 3-7/8″ piece of Basic White Card. Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I fixed the daisy panel on top. This made it more stable and less likely to buckle.
Next, taking my colour scheme from the daisy panel, I cut and scored some Bubble Bath Card. After folding it along the scored line I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create the A2 card base. With that done I used liquid glue to attach a 2-3/4″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Copper Clay Card in the centre of the card front. Finally added the layered Fresh As A Daisy panel over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For my sentiment I turned to the Layering Leaves Stamp Set and chose “thinking of you”. After stamping the sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White Card using Copper Clay ink I cut around it with my Paper Snips. Then using pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals I added the sentiment to the daisy layer and the front was done.
CHEERFUL DAISIES
All I needed now was to decorate the inside of the card and an envelope. So from the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set I chose the smaller of the full outline daisy images. Using Bubble Bath ink I stamped the flower on the flap of a Basic White Medium Envelope. Then I stamped it in the centre near the top of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Card.
Next I found the small flower centre stamp and stamped it in the centre of the two daisies with Crushed Curry ink.
Finally I added a little extra colour to the daisy petals with a light Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends alcohol marker.
With the daisies done I glued the Basic White layer inside the card base, and my pretty card was complete.
