One week from today the Stampin’ Up! September to December 2023 Mini Catalogue will go live for customers. I was able to order products early and have had enormous fun playing with them. I’ve held off showing anything to you as I know how frustrating it is to fall in love with something only to be told you have to wait a month before you can get it. But today I’m delighted to begin my week of sneak peeks, starting with this simple project using the Rustic Crate Stamp Set.

PUMPKINS & MORE
One of the things I love about the Rustic Crate Stamp set is the seasonal images. They’re designed to be used with the crate image (or coordinating Rustic Crate Dies) but work equally well by themselves. One of my favourites is the autumn-themed pumpkin, sunflower and corncob image. It was the first thing I wanted to try out when I opened the stamp set.
I began by cutting a 2″ x 5-1/2″ strip of Thick Very Vanilla Card and added a hole at one end using the slot option on the Very Best Trio Punch.
Next I used Copper Clay ink to stamp the autumn image along the bottom edge of the strip. Then in the space above I stamped “every day with you is better”.

To colour the image I chose three sets of Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. For the pumpkins I used light and dark Pumpkin Pie (what else?). Then for the sunflower petals and corn I went with light and dark Daffodil Delight. Finally for the leaves I opted for light and dark Old Olive. To add additional depth of colour I went over some areas a second time with the same markers. I also added a little Pumpkin Pie around the base of the sunflower petals. Finally I filled in the ‘ground’ below the image with light Old Olive.
With the colouring complete I just needed to add some twine or ribbon to the slot at the top. In the end I cut a 6″ piece of Copper Clay and Wild Wheat twine from the 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim. After folding the two pieces in half I poked the loops through the slot in the card. Then I threaded the cut ends through the loops and pulled gently to secure them in place.
RUSTIC CRATE
This project was really quick to create and I love how it turned out. I may even make a second one but leave out the slot and twine so I can use it as a layer for a card front.
As well as the image used on my project, the stamp set also includes some poinsettias, some leafy plants and the side of a crate. All four images can be cut out using the coordinating Rustic Crate Dies (more about that in a few days). There’s also three more sentiments in the set that can be used all year round.
Here’s the complete stamp set:

I hope you’ll join me tomorrow when I’ll show you a card project featuring one of the new Designer Series Paper (DSP) packs.

BUNDLE BONUS – The Rustic Crate Stamp Set and coordinating Rustic Crate Dies (not used today) can be purchased separately, or if you want both make sure you order them as a bundle to save 10%. I’ve included links for both options below.
Hello Tracy,
Beautiful bookmark. If you have the matching dies would you please make the crate. I would like to get an idea on how big the crate would be. Thanks and have great day.
Thank you Lesa. Sadly the Rustic Crate Dies don’t make a 3D crate as such. I have a sneak peek of these dies planned for sometime the next few days.
Thank you. Looking forward to what you create with it.
