With all the gloom and doom in the news about worldwide manufacturing and distribution it’s nice to have a bit of good news. The Elegant Punch that has been out of stock for a while is now back in the Stampin’ Up! warehouse. That also means that the discounted Elegantly Said Stamp Set and Elegant Punch bundle is also now available to order. To celebrate, here’s a quick and easy thank you card using the whole Simply Elegant Suite.

SIMPLE LAYERS
I began this project by using my Paper Trimmer to cut and score some Basic Gray Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create a card base.
Next, from the Simply Elegant 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) I cut a 1-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ strip. For the mat layer I used Basic Black Card and cut this 2″ x 5-1/2″. After fixing the two pieces together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I attached them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
With that done I turned to the Elegantly Said Stamp Set and chose the large ‘triangular’ image. I inked up the image and then ‘stamped-off’ onto scrap paper to remove a little of the ink. Then I stamped across the bottom left corner on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Card. I reinked the stamp, stamped off again, and then stamped across the top right corner of the same piece. With that done I glued the layer inside the card base.

Before putting away the image I repeated the process and stamped across two corners on the front of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope.
ELEGANT SENTIMENT
That just left the sentiment to do, and from the Elegantly Said Stamp Set I chose the simple “thank you”.
Using Basic Gray ink at full strength I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of Thick Very Vanilla Card. Then I punched it out using the Elegant Punch with the decorative part at the top.
Around the centre part of the punched top I then tied a simple bow using silver cord from the Simply Elegant Trim pack.

Finally using Stampin’ Dimensionals I attached the completed sentiment to the card front and my project was complete.
The Simply Elegant Suite really lives up to its name and it’s so easy to create beautiful cards in next to no time. For more card and tag projects using various parts of the suite see these earlier blog posts:

PRODUCT LIST
CLEARANCE RACK REFRESHED – If you’re looking for a bargain, or wishing you’d bought something before it retired, make sure you check out the Clearance Rack. This was updated this morning with retired products on sale at up to 60% off. Stocks are limited, so when they’re gone they really will be gone for good.
BUNDLE BONUS – I bought the Elegantly Said Stamp Set and coordinating Elegant Punch using a single ‘bundle’ item number. This meant I saved 10% off the cost of buying the two items separately.
SUITE AND EASY – If you want the discounted bundle, and also the Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper and Simply Elegant Cord, there’s a quicker way to place your order. Using the single ‘suite’ item number you’ll get all four items, and still get the 10% discount on the stamp set and punch. You don’t get any discount on the DSP or trim, but the suite item number is there to make getting it all quick and easy. You’ll see that I’ve included all ordering options in the list below.
