Welcome to another IDEAS Blog Hop where this month our theme is “Fun Folds”. These can get quite complicated so my contribution to the tutorial PDF is a simple gate-fold card that you could adapt and dress up depending on your own skills and experience. Then for today’s blog post I designed a coordinating gift tag. Both the card and tag were inspired by a piece of Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper (DSP) left over from a previous project, along with with some of the spectacular More Dazzle Specialty Paper.

ZIG-ZAG ELEGANCE
For my tag base I chose the largest of the flat-topped dies in the Tailor Made Tags Dies. Then I used it to cut a piece of Very Vanilla Card and some of the champagne colour in the More Dazzle 6″ x 6″ Specialty Paper pack. Finally using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I fixed the two pieces together back to back.
Next I needed the zig-zag pattern cut from some of the Earthen Elegance 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) using the same tag die. The zig-zag used here was what I had left over after making a previous gift tag. This time though I defined the edges of the paper using the bullet tip of a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. Having done that I glued the zig-zag onto the More Dazzle tag base.
For my sentiment I chose “for you” from the Layering Leaves Stamp Set. After stamping it onto some Very Vanilla Card using Tuxedo Black ink I cut it out with the hexagon shape from the Something Fancy Dies. Then I added it to the tag with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally I cut 6″ of Moody Mauve twine from the 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim. I threaded it through the hole at the top of the tag and tied it in a simple knot. With that my sparkly tag was complete.
For the original gift tag using the same zig-zag paper see my blog post Earthen Elegance inspired.
ELEGANCE AND MORE
So now let me tell you about this month’s IDEAS Tutorial Bundle. The August “Fancy Folds” PDF contains a variety of fun fold projects and the collage below offers a little sneak peek of what’s inside. Can you spot my contribution?

If you’d like a copy of the IDEAS Tutorial Bundle for your own personal use, or even to use in your classes, there are three different ways to get it:
- Place an order via my online store for $45CAD (before shipping and taxes) using my August 2023 Host Code TDRS4AZQ. Make sure to allow Stampin’ Up! to share your contact details so I can e-mail the tutorial to you. If your order is over $200CAD don’t use the Host Code or you’ll miss out on Stampin’ Rewards. However, so long as I have access to your contact details I’ll still send you the PDF.
- Join Stampin’ Up! and my Crafty Canadians team, and you’ll get this IDEAS tutorial for free.
- Buy the tutorial. Contact me at tutorials@papercraftwithme.com for more information.
Once you’ve received the bundle, please remember not to share or distribute printed or electronic copies of the tutorials. The IDEAS Team has worked hard to provide these exclusive projects for your own personal use. However, if you know someone who would like their own copy of the tutorial bundle, simply ask them to contact me about it. Thank you for your support.

Cute tag greetings Caroline
Thank you Caroline
Hello Tracy
Very nice tag idea. Could you give me the name of the blog for the Bird card that is featured in the circle? I went through the list but didn’t see anyone that has it.
Thank you
Hi Lisa, the bird card was created for the August IDEAS Tutorial Bundle by Dara Walter. In order for you to get the instructions for that project you would need to get the tutorial PDF from one of the members of the IDEAS team. Information how to get the free bundle through me are included in my blog post. If you don’t live in Canada you would need to get it through one of the other members of the team by following the instructions on their blog. I hope this helps.
Thank you. I am in the USA
