I don’t wish to worry you but it’s only one month to Christmas Eve! If you’re anything like me you’ve still got a heap of things to do and are fast running out of time to do them. So perhaps today’s Simple Sunday Project will help.

FEELS LIKE FROST
I must admit that I’m still in love with the scene images in the Feels Like Frost 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper. For this project I began by using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach the sheet to the flap on a Whisper White Medium Envelope. Then with my Paper Snips I cut the sheet to shape using the edge of the flap as a guide.
From what was left I cut a 3-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ piece and mounted it onto some Night of Navy Card.
At this point I decided to make my card base from Thick Whisper White Card. I cut and scored the card using my new Paper Trimmer. Then I folded the card along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.

CHRISTMAS WISHES
For my sentiment I pulled out one of my favourites for this year “Sending warm Christmas wishes” from the Rustic Retreat Stamp Set. Then I simply stamped it directly onto my card base using Night of Navy ink.
Using Stampin’ Dimensionals I attached the mounted DSP to the card base to finish off the front.
That just left the inside to decorate.
In the end I found another piece of the same DSP and cut a 3/4″ strip off one side and trimmed it down to 5-1/4″ high. Then with liquid glue I fixed it to a layer of Whisper White Card before adding it to the inside of my card base.
This really was a simple card that only took about 10 minutes to make. However if you wanted to you could dress it up with a little ribbon. You could even add some bling using glitter, sequins or rhinestones.
And the left over piece from the first sheet? That ended up as the shaker tag I showed you in my blog post Shake it up with Ice Stampin’ Glitter.
