It’s been a while since I’ve posted any new content, but I’m still struggling to get back into the swing of things since my surgery last December. With that behind me, I’m now looking forward to double cataract surgery next month. I have to say I can’t wait to see more clearly again. It will definitely make crafting a more pleasurable experience and less of a chore. So until then I’ll just keep plodding along designing little projects like this alternative tag created using parts from the Timeless Greetings kit.

TIMELESS KIT PIECES
I began by making the tag base using one of the metal plate patterned card layers from the kit. To do this I placed it on my Paper Trimmer with the long side at the top and used the scoring blade to score it at 2-3/8″. With that done I folded the card along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
Next from the kit I took the deeper of the two copper foiled sentiment strips. Then I chose “Time to Celebrate” from the stamp set included in the Timeless Greetings kit. Instead of using the Soft Suede ink spot from the kit I decided to get out my Tuxedo Black ink pad. After stamping the sentiment onto the strip I layered it onto a green printed piece from the kit using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow). Finally I glued the assembled sentiment onto the folded tag leaving a small border at the bottom and right-hand side.

One of my favourite parts of the Timeless Greetings kit is the clock face piece which works for so many different occasions. However, to make this a little extra special I decided to emboss the clock hands and numbers. So I stamped the image onto the circular piece from the kit using VersaMark ink. Then I sprinkled the sticky ink with copper powder from the Metallics Embossing Powders pack. After tapping off the excess, I removed a few stray specks then melted the rest using my Heat Tool set on 2 (high). All I had to do then was add the clock to the front of the gift tag using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally I used the piercing attachment on my Take Your Pick tool to create a small hole at the back of the tag. Then from the 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim I cut 6″ of Copper Clay twine. Once I’d threaded the twine through the hole and tied it with a simple knot my tag was complete.

PRODUCT LIST
ONLINE KITS COLLECTION – Like all kits in the Stampin’ Up! Kits Collection the Timeless Greetings Kit can’t be found in any catalogue. They’re only available online while stocks last, and will be removed from the website if they sell out. There’s also a French version of this kit if this is your preferred language. Check out all the current stamping and non-stamping kits currently available in the Kits Collection section of my online store.

EMBOSSING POWDER WARNING – Stampin’ Up! revealed this week that they’re in the process of changing the supplier for the Basics Embossing Powders pack. Due to heavy demand, stocks of the current pack have recently sold out and it is now considered discontinued. Unfortunately supplies from the new manufacturer are not expected until the fall (although if they can expedite this I’m sure they will). There’s nothing we can do about the Basics Embossing Powders, but it does make me wonder if the Metallics are also being switched? So if you’re considering getting this item you might want to consider doing so sooner rather than later. Otherwise you might be left waiting until trhe fall for that too.

Always good to hear from you.
