When I started buying stamps I would only get them if I liked everything in the set. Then it occurred to me that I should look at them differently… If there’s something I think I’ll never use I simply ignore it, and decide if I like rest of the set enough to buy it. Since then I’ve found I’m much happier with my purchases. Many people may ignore the Attention Shoppers Stamp Set because they don’t like the shopping cart, but there’s so much more to this set than that.

SIMPLE LAYERS
For today’s simple Sunday project I started by choosing a gender-neutral pattern from the Nature’s Sweetness 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. All I needed was a piece 3-1/4″ x 5″.
To keep things clean and simple I decided to use Thick Basic White Card to create my A2 card base. First, using my Paper Trimmer I cut a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of card. Then with the long side at the top I used the scoring blade to score it at 4-1/4″. After folding the card along the scored line I sharpened the crease with my Bone Folder and set it aside.
Next I cut a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ piece of Pebbled Path Card and using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I mounted the DSP on top leaving an even border around the edge. With that done I mounted the layered DSP onto the front of my card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Then I cut a 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Basic White Card for my focal layer and decided to start with the sentiment. For this I turned to the Best Family Ever Stamp Set. I chose “congratulations” and stamped it towards the bottom edge using Pebbled Path ink.
Now all I needed was to cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Card and to pull out a Basic White Medium Envelope so I could work on the three coordinating images all at once.
ATTENTION SHOPPERS
I began by choosing the bottle from the Attention Shoppers Stamp Set and stamped that above the sentiment with Pebbled Path ink. Then I stamped it in the bottom right corner of the other card piece and on the front of the envelope.
TIP: Stampin’ Blends are designed to saturate the card/paper, so before colouring on my envelope I slipped a piece of scrap paper inside it. That way any excess ink is caught on the scrap paper rather than leaking through to the back.
To colour in the bottles I chose two sets of Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. First I coloured everything but the bottle labels with light Lemon Lolly. Then with the darker shade I drew a line across the bottle neck to indicate the level of the wine. Below that line I coloured over the light shade with the darker one.

Next I coloured the oval on the label with light Pool Party, followed by dark Pool Party on the rest of the label and the bottle top. Once dry I went over the ‘wine’ and label with the same shades just to darken them up a little. To finish I added a little scribble of light Pool Party to create a shadow below the bottles on the envelope and larger Basic White piece. With that done I used liquid glue to fix the larger Basic White layer inside of the card base.
Now I cut a 2-3/8″ x 3-5/8″ piece of Pebbled Path Card and glued the sentiment layer on top. Then I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Finally I mounted the assembled piece onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and my project was complete.
I love the variety of simple images on the Attention Shoppers Stamp Set. As well as the bottle, there’s a cake, bouquet of flowers, leafy plant and filled gift bag. Plus of course the two-part shopping cart and five sentiments. Even ignoring the shopping cart, the rest of the set works for a wide variety of occasions and, as I’ve shown today, with sentiments from other sets too.
