November is turning out to be an exciting month, and it’s only the 4th! On Tuesday we saw the release of the new Eden’s Garden suite along with some extra limited availability products. In a little over a week Demonstrators will get their first look at the new January to July Mini Catalogue, and the Retiring List won’t be far behind. But starting today we a very special joining offer. So I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than to show you this card I made as part of my 24 cards in 24 hours marathon last month.

ELEGANT WHITE
For this project I was running out of time and ideas, so I decided to keep things really simple.
I began by using my Paper Trimmer to cut and score some Thick Basic White Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
While I wanted the project to be predominantly white, I didn’t want it to be boring. So I decided to add texture using the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder.
I cut two pieces of Basic White Card at 4″ x 5-1/4″, one for the front and one for inside the card. Then I placed one of the pieces inside the embossing folder and ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. With that done I fixed the layer to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
Next I embossed just a 1″ strip down the side of the other piece of Basic White Card. Then I glued this piece inside the card base.
Finally I embossed the flap of a Basic White Medium Envelope to complete the coordination.
LET’S CELEBRATE YOU
Now I was ready to work on the focal point of the card, starting with the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set.
Using VersaMark ink I stamped “Let’s celebrate you” onto some Thick Basic White Card. Then I sprinkled the sticky ink with gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and tapped off the excess. After removing some stray specks, I melted the rest of the powder using my Heat Tool set on 2 (high).

To cut out the sentiment I went back to the Cut & Emboss Machine. In the Seasonal Labels Dies I found one that fit the sentiment perfectly. After cutting it out, I cut 2 more blank labels and glued them on top of each other with the sentiment on top.
Now I just needed something separate the white sentiment from the white background.
From the Encircled in Beauty Dies I chose one of the larger dies and for some elegance I went with the Gold Shimmer Vellum. After cutting out the vellum I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to fix the sentiment onto it. Then I flipped the piece over and put liquid glue on the back of the vellum, but only along the centre where it would be hidden by the sentiment. Finally I attached the assembled piece to the card front and my project was complete.
I love how this project turned out. It’s very simple in it’s layout and colour but the texture, shimmer vellum and heat embossing really give it an elegant feel. Perfect for a celebration card don’t you think?
