If like me you’re a fan of the Stampin’ Up! 2023-2025 In Colors then you’ll know that the Fresh As A Daisy 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper pack includes all five colours. I love that DSP, but what if you need something other than flowers? For Copper Clay, Moody Mauve and Pebbled Path take a look at the more gender-neutral patterns in the Earthen Elegance pack. That’s what I used to create today’s “best wishes” card. Then check out the Let’s Go Fishing DSP for Boho Blue and Wild Wheat.

MAUVE ALL ROUND
As soon as I saw this multicoloured pattern in the Earthen Elegance 12″ x 12″ DSP pack I knew I could make a whole set of cards each one bringing out one main colour. Today I decided to focus on Moody Mauve which is almost a dusky pink.
Fisrt I used my Paper Trimmer to cut and score some Moody Mauve Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create my card base.
Next I cut a 2-1/4″ x 6″ piece of the DSP and fixed it to the flap of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow). Then I trimmed off the excess DSP with Paper Snips, using the edge of the flap as a guide.
Going back to the DSP I cut a 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ strip with the ‘drips’ going down (the same direction as on the envelope). Using liquid glue I attached the DSP to the right-hand side of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Card. Then I glued the assembled layer inside the card base.
Finally I cut a piece of the DSP at 3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ (again checking the direction of the drips). Using liquid glue I mounted the DSP onto a 3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Moody Mauve Card. Then I attached some Moody Mauve 3/8″ Textured Ribbon down the left edge with Tear & Tape Adhesive. With that done I glued the layer to the front of the card base up against the right-hand edge.
BEST WISHES
Now I needed a bold sentiment and immediately thought of the Layering Leaves Stamp Set. I chose the beautifully scripted “best wishes” and stamped it onto some Very Vanilla Card with Moody Mauve ink. To cut out the sentiment I used the 2″ Circle Punch (part of the Online Exclusives range). And that’s when things ground to a halt.

By itself the sentiment looked unfinished, but with a busy background pattern I was concerned that any decorative elements would get lost. That’s when I remembered the 2-3/8″ Circle Punch in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue and used it to punch some Gold Distressed Specialty Paper. From there everything came together really quickly.
Using liquid glue I fixed the sentiment onto the Distressed Gold circle. Then I added three different sized Moody Mauve embellishments from the 2023-2025 In Color Dots pack. Finally I attached the layered sentiment to my card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and my project was complete.
I love how this card turned out and especially how the card base, ribbon and ink brings out the Moody Mauve elements of the DSP. Change those three parts of the design to one of the other colours in the pattern and you’ll have a completely different look.
