If you’ve been following my blog you’ll know I love the new Peekaboo Farm Stamp Set. It’s full of cute images that are perfect for colouring, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be left as outlines too. So for today’s simple Sunday project using the horse image that’s what I set out to do, and I succeeded (almost).

HORSE AND BIRD
This project really was designed around the horse image and I wanted to make sure he was front and centre on my card.
I began by cutting a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White Card. Then using Soft Suede ink I stamped him in the bottom right corner. I also stamped the horse in the bottom right corner on the front of a Basic White Medium Envelope.
Now I needed to think about the main panel for the front of the card. So I started by cutting a 3″ x 4″ piece of Basic White Card. Then towards the bottom I stamped the wall image using Soft Suede ink.
The horse came next with his hooves nestled in the gaps along the top of the wall. On the left of the horse I decided to add a tail, one of two tail pieces included in the stamp set.
For my sentiment I chose “life is better with you”. Because it’s a photopolymer stamp set I was able to mount the sentiment onto my acrylic block in a curve that would fit around the horse’s head. Then I stamped it using Soft Suede ink.
With the sentiment in place I decided that the horse needed a friend and who better than a little singing bird? The bird and musical notes comes as one image and I simply stamped the bird on the wall beside the horse.
It was at this point I gave in and decided to add just a hint of colour on the bird using a dark Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends alcohol marker.
CUSTOM BACKGROUND
Now I needed a card base so using my Paper Trimmer I cut and scored some Crumb Cake Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. With that done I attached the stamped 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer to the inside using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).

That just left the front of my card to do.
As well as the animals in the Peekaboo Farm Stamp Set I have to say I love the wall image. It’s very organic and I decided I wanted more of it on my card. So taking the wall image and Soft Suede ink I stamped a border around the card front.
TIP: When stamping a border I usually start just in from a corner and then work my way around and back to the original corner. This seems to make it easier for me to fit that last image in.

Finally I mounted the completed horse panel onto a 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ layer of Soft Suede Card using liquid glue. Then I added the assembled layers to the centre of the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and my #simplestamping project was complete.
So with today’s project I’ve finally worked my way around the whole Peekaboo Farm. I hope you’ve enjoyed the tour. For my projects featuring the other animals in the set see these earlier blog posts:
