On Monday I got my first look at the Last Chance List. This is a list of products that are being retired by Stampin’ Up! and are now only available while stocks last. Some of these retiring items will be offered at a discount starting April 9th (but not all). Today’s project showcases a selection of these, starting with the Zany Zoo Stamp Set and coordinating dies, two of the 2022-2024 InColors® along with the Happy Labels Stamp Set. These combined to create this card featuring a cute cycling crocodile.

OUTDOOR SCENE
I began by cutting a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Card and tearing some scrap paper to create a ragged edge. Then I placed the paper over the top part of the card so that I could brush some Old Olive ink across the bottom 1-1/2″ using a Blending Brush. Then I angled the paper and brushed on more ink to create the hill. With that done I moved the paper and added ink twice more to add the final two layers of the ground.
Now I needed the sky and for that I chose Starry Sky ink. Using another Blending Brush I lightly swirled the ink over the remaining white area of the card. This gave me a botchy blue which always seems much more realisitic than a solid even colour.
To create the trees I found some scraps of Old Olive Card and cut it out using the two trees from the Zany Zoo Dies. Then I added them to the scene with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
Finally I turned to the Happy Labels Stamp Set for my sentiment. I chose “There’s no one like you” and stamped it onto the ‘sky’ using Starry Sky ink.

My crocodile was a lot quicker to do as I found him on one of the sheets in the Zoo Crew 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. All I had to do was cut him out using the coordinating die before adding him to the scene with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
ZANY ZOO STAMPING
With the scene complete I was ready to start the rest of the card. First I used my Paper Trimmer to cut and score some Old Olive Card. After folding it along the scored line I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. Then I glued the finished scene directly onto the front.
Next I cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Card and grabbed a Basic White Medium Envelope. Then from the Zany Zoo Stamp Set I chose the same image of the cycling croodile. Using Tuxedo Black ink I stamped the front part of the crocodile on the left side of the card and envelope.
To colour the images I simply copied the crocodile on my card front using Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. Finally I glued the Basic White layer inside the card and my project was complete.
PRODUCT LIST
BUNDLE BONUS – I bought the Zany Zoo Stamp Set and coordinating Zany Zoo Dies in a bundle. Using the single bundle item number to get these two items meant I saved 10% off the cost of buying them separately. I’ve included a link to the bundle below in case you want to explore this option. However, if the products are still in stock when the Chance List promotion starts you’ll save an additional $5.60CAD by buying them separately.
RETIRING PRODUCTS DISCOUNT – If you want to wait until April 9th to order you’ll save 50% on the Happy Labels Stamp Set, 40% on the Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends, and 30% on the Zany Zoo Dies. The Zany Zoo Stamp Set, Zoo Crew DSP, and Parakeet Party and Starry Sky ink pads are also retiring but will not be discounted. Just be aware that all these products are now only available while stocks last so if you decide to wait until the Last Chance promotion starts to make your purchase you may not get them at all.
