As I checked the Last Chance List again this morning I noticed even more retiring products that are now sold out. So it’s getting harder and harder to make sure my projects only use Stampin’ Up! items that are still available to buy. Today’s simple Sunday project features three retiring products. For the base, Sun Prints 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP), along with Gray Granite 1/4” Shimmer Ribbon. But the item I’ll miss the most is the Count On Me Stamp Set and that oh so cute bear.

COUNT ON ME CUTIE
I began by choosing the very subtle Gray Granite pattern from the retiring Sun Prints 12″ x 12″ DSP. After cutting a 4″ x 5-1/2″ piece I scored it on the short side at 2″. Then I folded the paper along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
Next, from the retiring Count On Me Stamp Set I took the bear image and stamped him towards the bottom of the folded paper using Early Espresso ink. Then in the space above I stamped “No matter what, I’m here for you”.
With that done I unfolded the paper so I could colour the image using Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. I started with Ivory for the bear’s nose, then coloured the heart with dark Real Red. Finally I filled in the rest of the bear using the Bronze marker.
Flipping the DSP over I wanted to add a ribbbon loop to the top. So I cut 4″ of Gray Granite 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon. After folding it in half, I fixed the ends in the centre at the top of one section of the paper with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow). Then I folded the paper over and fixed it into place with liquid glue, sandwiching the ribbon ends in the process. And just like that my final Count On Me project was complete.
