Sometimes when you have a very sore throat you just have to go with the flow... Like right now as I am fighting off a cold kindly given to me by my hubby. It's my granddaughters' first birthday today and twins were definitely on my mind. In fact this project is a collaboration with some additional input from my daughter, the twins’ Mummy. So with the cuddling koalas from the Count On Me Stamp Set and the Forever Fern and Forever Flourishing Dies close at hand, I set to work. COUNT ON ME ... VIEW POST
Three Stamp Sets For One Birthday Card
I must apologise for the late arrival of today's blog post. Today is obviously going to be one of those days where things take that much longer to get done. What's frustrating is that my birthday card project was done and photographed yesterday. But I've not been nearly as efficient this morning. In my defence I've had long video chat with my daughter and twin 9-month old grandbabies, and taken the garbage to the end of the drive in the snow. One very enjoyable distraction and the other, ... With all the supplies to make twelve cards with coordinating envelopes I knew I'd have fun. Despite being tri-fold cards all three designs were really simple to put together. I loved the outdoor theme and immediately an idea for alternate projects popped into my head. What goes well with the great outdoors? Animals of ... VIEW POST
Penguin Cuteness To The Rescue
Despite the fact that I design and make projects every day I still sometimes suffer from creative block. If I'm working to a deadline that can be particularly stressful so I try to get my projects done ahead of time. When my creative mojo deserts me my goto solution is to simply walk away. This is what I did with today's tag project. I'd made the tag and got the streamers. I had the die-cut "happy birthday" in Very Vanilla and Basic Black ready, but from there I was stumped. So I put the ... VIEW POST
Count Me In With Another Example
A few days ago I decorated a picture frame using a sentiment and bear image from the Count On Me Stamp Set. I loved how it turned out and couldn't wait to use that bear again. Today though I thought I'd also illustrate the difference cardstock can make when using Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. COUNT ME IN I began my bookmark with a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of Thick Very Vanilla Card. To shape the top and add the ribbon slot I used the Fancy Tag Topper Punch. Next using Tuxedo Black ink ...
