Have you seen the Enjoy The Journey 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the Stampin’ Up! January to April 2023 Mini Catalogue? I was immediately drawn to it for the scenery type designs which are perfect for many of my cards and projects. This pack is almost certainly going to be on the Retiring List next week so I’m making the most of every scrap. Of course with wonderful outdoor scenes I couldn’t resist grabbing the Peekaboo Farm Stamp Set once more to create this horse themed project.

FARM PEEKABOO AGAIN
I began with a 2″ wide strip of the green mountain scene design from the Enjoy The Journey DSP. After trimming it down to 5-1/2″ long I also cut a 2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Thick Basic White Card. Then I mounted the DSP onto the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
Now it was time for the Peekaboo Farm Stamp Set and from the five animals I chose the horse, along with his separate tail. Using Early Espresso ink I stamped the two images onto some Sahara Sand Card then prepared to colour them in. I decided to keep this really simple using just the Soft Suede set of Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. First I coloured in the horse’s mane, tail and nose with the light marker. Then using the darker one I coloured his forehead (?) and hooves. After cutting out the pieces I simply glued them to the bottom of the layered DSP strip.
Next, going back to the stamp set I chose “hello there” and stamped it in the space towards the top of the DSP.
At this point I could have added the completed piece to a card front. Instead I punched a hole at the top using the slot option on the Very Best Trio Punch. Then I cut 6″ of Sahara Sand 3/8″ Twill Ribbon and threaded it through the slot. Finally, using a little Tear & Tape Adhesive I secured the ribbon to the bit of card above the slot and my project was complete.
I have to say I never tire of using the Peekaboo Farm Stamp Set. For more projects using this cute stamp set see these earlier blog posts:

PRODUCT LIST
RETIRING PRODUCT PREDICTION – As I’ve said many times, Designer Series Paper rarely gets carried over, and I see no reason for this to change. In addition I fear that as it’s been around a few years, the Peekabook Farm Stamp Set will also be retired this year. I’ll know more when I see the new Annual Catalogue on March 29th.
HEADS UP! – Just announced to Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators this morning… lots of price rises coming in the new catalogue including paper products, ink and markers, embossing folders, punches, select adhesives and unfortunately lots more. If you know there are things you want perhaps consider ordering them now, before the prices go up.
