For several years now I’ve made my own gift wrapping paper. Whatever the occasion, I simply stamp what I need to coordinate with the card I make. What’s more, I love that unlike much of the commercially produced gift wrap, mine is completely recyclable. The base is a sheet of white packing paper (bought from my local U-Haul depot - a moving company here in Canada). Then using the Leaves of Holly Stamp Set, ink and a little time I created pretty gift wrap for 15 cents a sheet. Bargain! TWICE ... VIEW POST
Gift Wrap That’s Cheap And Recyclable
It's so frustrating when you come to wrap a gift only to find you don't have anything suitable. I have blue baby paper. In fact I've had that blue baby paper for quite some time, but it's not what I need. So several years ago I decided that the only way to make sure I have the wrapping paper I want is to make my own. I trotted down to my local U-Haul depot (a moving company here in Canada), and bought a box of wrapping paper. The box I chose had about 100 sheets of clean white newsprint ... VIEW POST
Wrapping Up For Another Year

WRAPPING PAPER Some time ago I bought a box of 100 sheets of 24" x 30" white newsprint wrapping paper from U-Haul. It's meant to be used when packing up belongings for ... VIEW POST
Forever Experimenting – Blue Greenery
My regular blog readers will know that I love experimenting in my craft studio. Whether it's trying new techniques, or exploring new colour combinations, some work some don't. For today's Simple Sunday project I decided to play with the images in the new Forever Fern Stamp Set. However instead of greens I opted for different shades of blue. BLUE TIMES FOUR In the end I chose four of the blues in the Stampin' Up! range; Balmy Blue, Seaside Spray, Night of Navy and the new Misty ... VIEW POST
It’s A Wrap (Stampin’ Up! Style Of Course)
There's lots of discussion about the amount of die used in commercial gift wrap that makes it unsuitable for recycling. So today I thought I'd bring you a possible solution, hand made gift wrap. STAMPS, INK AND PACKING PAPER My gift wrap started out as 24" x 30" sheets of off-white acid-free clean newsprint paper purchased from our local U-Haul depot. I bought a box of 100 sheets but there are different pack sizes to suit every budget. For today's gift wrap I chose the Peaceful ... VIEW POST
