When I first saw the Music From My Heart Stamp Set I knew it would end up on my order. There's a combination of lovely sentiments and clever imagery with hearts forming an integral part of the designs. For the more musical among us there's even the opportunity to create actual music using the five lines and selection of music notes. For today's project though I kept it very simple. MUSIC FROM MY HEART I started this project using my Paper Trimmer to cut and score a piece of Thick Very ... VIEW POST
One More Step With Foil Sheet Layers
A couple of weeks ago I showed you how to create a simple birthday card using layers of Designer Series Paper. Then last week I stepped it up using a little ribbon and sparkly embellishments. Today I thought I should take it one step further with by using foil sheet for the mat layers, and heat embossing the sentiment. Essentially it's still the same card but these changes give it a whole different look. PARISIAN BLOSSOMS WITH FOIL SHEET MATS The colour scheme for this card was ... VIEW POST
Today’s Project Is Totally Stitched Up
Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Today's project does include a little heart but I was actually more focused on the stitched pieces. I find going back to older but still available stamp sets and dies so rewarding and had such fun creating today's project. SIMPLE BACKGROUND LAYER I began by using my Paper Trimmer to cut and score a piece of Thick Whisper White Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create my card base. Next I chose ... VIEW POST
Some Witty-cisms but just not today
Today I thought it would be fun to play with another new stamp set called Witty-cisms. As you might expect Witty-cisms includes some fun images with puns, which I love. But oddly the first stamp I chose was one that didn't include a witty sentiment, but it's cute all the same. PARISIAN PATTERN I began with a pretty Pool Party pattern from the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). This particular pattern has no blossoms or French images, just an elegant design. I ... VIEW POST
Finding A Little Parisian Romance
Playing with scraps can be a lot of fun as today's project shows. With Valentine's Day approaching I had romance in mind and the Parisian Blossoms paper in my hand. PARISIAN BLOSSOMS I was immediately taken with the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). Not so much for the Eiffel Tower images, but for the flowers and champagne foil accents. I've already made a couple of projects with this paper but couldn't resist pulling it out again. First though I needed to ... VIEW POST
Parisian Blossoms Specialty Paper Sneak Peek
With less than 2 weeks until the Stampin' Up! January to June Mini Catalogue goes live it's time to get going on my sneak peeks. Today after a well deserved lie-in I created this birthday card for my Simple Sunday project. It showcases the new Parisian Blossoms 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. PRETTY FOILED PAPER I began with one of the sheets from the Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP with champagne foil accents. First I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to ... VIEW POST
