One of the things I love about papercrafting is the way I’m constantly inspired to create something new. While it’s definitely fun to use dies, punches, embossing folders and other tools, they aren’t essential. Quick Note Card
Oh my goodness it certainly was a chilly start to the morning! I’m sitting here wearing a sweater and thinking about turning the heating on. Still, it’s nice and sunny out so I really shouldn’t complain. Today I decided to design a simple note card just because I haven’t made one in forever. Full Of Love Again
After my last card which was dominated by a very colourful watercoloured sunflower I decided that my next card project would be completely different. And they don’t get more different than this. Using the Full of Love Stamp Set I’ve gone from bright colours to much calmer shades of grey. There’s no die-cutting and no special techniques involved either. Where do you get your colour inspiration? I often make a note of colour combinations I see on clothes and household linens while I’m shopping. I also love to wander around the garden and take my cue from nature. In the summer there’s lots of pinks, reds and oranges. Autumn also has these colours, but the tones are quite different. Winter brings neutral colours like greys and browns. But right now I see blues and purples, and that’s what I was thinking of when I created today’s pretty card ... VIEW POST
