I don’t know about you but I have a hard time visualising things in the ‘wrong’ colours. Like pink chickens or purple sunflowers. I’ve even found that I get hung up with Designer Series Paper (DSP) and just can’t see the coordinating stamp images in any other colour palette. So I surprised myself during my personal 24 cards in 24 hours challenge and really stepped outside my comfort zone. Using the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set I created this “thinking of you” card with an unusual Night of Navy maple ... VIEW POST
Soft Seedlings Repurposed
Almost a month ago I showed you a simple thank you card using the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set. I must admit that I was late to the party with this set and my only regret is not getting it sooner. This is a DistINKtive stamp from Stampin’ Up! which means it stamps with varying areas of light and dark all in one go. What I didn’t say when I made that card was that I’d had an issue with the first background. Today I repurposed part of that original piece. NO SEEDLINGS My original card focused ... VIEW POST
Goodbye Autumn Leaves
Despite the chill in the air, yesterday turned out to be a very lovely day. We made the most of it by driving to Parrsboro for lunch. Of course we still have the evergreen trees but it’s sad to see the autumn colours gone. So to mark this seasonal milestone I created this project full of warm tones using the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set. I began this simple ... VIEW POST
Soft Autumn Thank You
My Facebook memory for today was a couple of photos I’d taken four years ago. They were the same view of maple trees in my front yard taken one day apart. I was actually comparing how different the autumn leaves looked as the sun came up versus when the sun was higher in the sky. This memory gave me the spark of an idea for today’s card project. So after pulling out four ink pads along with the Soft Seedlings and Go To Greetings Stamp Sets I quickly got started. SOFT SEEDLINGS START I ... VIEW POST
Simple Soft Seedlings
How can we be halfway through October already! I’m definitely not prepared for winter but hopefully we can still enjoy milder autumn weather for a while longer. Leaves are definitely top of mind right now, and so for today’s simple Sunday project I wanted to create a quick and easy card using the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set. The maple leaf and seed pod images are gorgeous as this “thinking of you” card shows. SPRING SEEDLINGS It's funny that I always think of trees as bearing fruit in the ... VIEW POST
